Cricket Indonesia (Persatuan Cricket Indonesia/PCI) is Indonesia’s official cricket governing body. Its current headquarter is in Jakarta, and it has expanded all across the country. PCI was officially founded in 2011, despite the fact that the sport has been played for over 30 years. Nonetheless, the PCI was recognized by becoming an official member of KONI (Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia), KOI (Komite Olimpiade Indonesia), and the ICC (International Cricket Council) East Asia-Pacific region.

PCI aims to make cricket one of the best-performing sports in Indonesia and to be one of the top three most popular sports in the country in the future. It also tries to establish cricket in every region of Indonesia. From Aceh to Papua, it has 21 province committees. Those members are responsible for organizing all competitions, as well as introducing and socializing cricket in the community.

With its role in developing cricket in Indonesia, PCI has achieved numerous milestones and attracted over 200.000 young cricketers from across the nation. The existing pathway for the future of cricket has been from school level tournaments to regional championships, provincial competitions, and national championships.
PCI has been able to carry out its programs as a result of cricket’s rapidly growing in popularity in the Indonesian community. Training, short courses, and seminars for coaches, referees, umpires, and other cricket supporting components are among the development programs.

PCI’s ambition is for the sport to become a source of national pride in Indonesia. Indonesia is currently competing in a world-renowned tournament and has both an Indonesia women’s national cricket team and a Men Indonesia national cricket team, as well as a Men U-19 national team and a Women U-19 national team.

PCI’s major international accomplishments include:
1. SEA Games 2017
- Women Silver Medalist
- Men Bronze Medalist
2. World number 20th at ICC Women’s T20 Ranking
3. Participated the U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa
4. SEA Games 2023
- Women’s Medalist of 1 Gold and 2 Silvers
- Men’s Bronze Medalist taken in Jakarta, Indonesia by @cricket_ina

Gen Z vs Millennial… without seeing each other 😂

Same question. Two generations. VERY different answers. 🤣

We put an Indonesia U19 player 🇮🇩 and his coach on opposite sides of a wall and tested the generation gap.

The heart ❤️ got us. 😂

Which side are you — Gen Z or Millennial? 👀

How would YOU say them? 👀

👋 Hello
🏏 Cricket
💪 Stay Strong
👋 Bye

We asked four captains from four countries to teach us:

🇻🇺 Vanuatu — Bislama
🇼🇸 Samoa — Samoan
🇵🇬 Papua New Guinea — Hiri Motu
🇮🇩 Indonesia — Bahasa Indonesia

Different languages. Different cultures. One game bringing everyone together.

Same 4 words. Four different languages. 🌏🗣️

Which one did you already know — and how would you say these words in YOUR language? 👇
