Huge thank you to The Links, Incorporated, along with the AKA and Iota chapters, for inviting me to the Pretty After Dark Art & Jazz Affair!

It was an incredible experience meeting so many amazing people, connecting through art and music, and getting the chance to showcase my work. I’m grateful for everyone who stopped by, showed love, and took the time to experience my art. 💚🧡🎨 by @crispybacon64

Congratulations to the 2025–2026 SJGC Living Learning Community freshman scholars on completing this year’s program.

The annual SJGC LLC Closing Ceremony recognized their achievements and successful participation in sessions, experiential learning opportunities and community-building projects throughout the academic year. The program featured words from previous cohorts, the “Life Film” immersive journaling experience and reflections from this year’s scholars.

Throughout the year, students produced a WANM 90.5 podcast, a FAMU TV-20 News Show and engaged in the “Life Film” experience using AR Glasses. Scholars also attended “From Classroom to Career with WCTV Anchors,” featuring SJGC alumna Lanetra Bennett and Madison Glaser. Certificates of completion and appreciation were presented by SJGC administration and LLC liaison Artency Jean, and attendees explored student-created life films via interactive poster displays.

2025–2026 LLC Scholars:

Ryan Bacon — Orlando, Florida — Public Relations
Leiana Frazer — Miami-Dade County, Florida — Graphic Design
Rylee Kearson — Broward County, Florida — Public Relations
Sakina Robateau — Broward County, Florida — Journalism
Dale Salaam — Riverview, Florida — Public Relations
Ezinne Oti — Washington, D.C. — Public Relations

From my First Family: my parents, my siblings, and etc, to my Second Family: the Dr. Phillips Band Program. Thank you all for allowing me to get to this point the way I did and most importantly, thank you for inspiring me to break out of my comfort zone in order to achieve what was seemingly unachieveable in the past 4 years of my life. This is only the start 🤍💙🎵 by @crispybacon64
