Congratulations to the 2025–2026 SJGC Living Learning Community freshman scholars on completing this year’s program.

The annual SJGC LLC Closing Ceremony recognized their achievements and successful participation in sessions, experiential learning opportunities and community-building projects throughout the academic year. The program featured words from previous cohorts, the “Life Film” immersive journaling experience and reflections from this year’s scholars.

Throughout the year, students produced a WANM 90.5 podcast, a FAMU TV-20 News Show and engaged in the “Life Film” experience using AR Glasses. Scholars also attended “From Classroom to Career with WCTV Anchors,” featuring SJGC alumna Lanetra Bennett and Madison Glaser. Certificates of completion and appreciation were presented by SJGC administration and LLC liaison Artency Jean, and attendees explored student-created life films via interactive poster displays.

2025–2026 LLC Scholars:

Ryan Bacon — Orlando, Florida — Public Relations
Leiana Frazer — Miami-Dade County, Florida — Graphic Design
Rylee Kearson — Broward County, Florida — Public Relations

This is Part Three of the 2024 End-Of-Year Review. If you haven’t read Part One or Two, do that before reading this part.

8. Band: Band is always a major part of the year, and especially this year, with Mr Seth leading the Stetson band in the spring and our new director Dr Wilson taking over in the fall. So much great music, from Maslanka 7 to Mackey’s “Aurora Awakes”, and I’m so excited for next year’s lineup.
9. Rest Of Year 2024: The rest of 2024 (aka Winter Break) was really chill, with composing getting done and a couple visits to Victory. Board Games and movies were the main highlight, but also Hanukkah as well, which started on the 25th and ends on the 2nd. This year has been a fun one, and 2025 is gonna be awesome.
10. Composing: This year was full of amazing moments composing-wise. There was a total of 52 works, started, set up, finished, and unfinished. There were a lot of great works, such as “SOW”, “K:TCOAS”, and “MIM”, but this year expanded my composing view like never before. I am so excited what 2025 has to offer.

Thank you all for Tuning In to the EOYR’s, and for the support this year, it means a lot. I’m so excited for 2025, and I can’t wait to see what next year has in store.
