Hard to put all the emotion into words but Saturday was all of them, all at once about ten times over 🥲

Playing cricket professionally was never something I aspired to do because it didn’t exist when I was a kid. To have fulfilled a dream I didn’t know I had for the best part of 12 years has been everything and more.

I can’t thank everyone who has played their part enough. Coaches, team mates, back room staff, fans, commentary teams and everyone else who has contributed along the way. Thank you 🫶🏻 But the biggest thank you has to go to my family. To mum, dad, Jenny and Bobby who have seen the very best of times as well as the very worst of times and held me up every single time. I wouldn’t have been able to do the last 22 years without you all ❤️

I’ll always feel so lucky and fortunate to have experienced so many cultures and to have travelled the world playing sport, but mostly for meeting the people I have done along the way. Cricket has given me my friends for life 🫶🏻 As I sit and reflect I just feel so much pride and gratitude for everything cricket has thrown at me and for how much it has given me.

A special thank you to @laurenwinfield58 and @yorkshireccc for the lovely touch.. unusual to say for a Lancastrian but Headingley has become my home away from home over the last 4 years so to get my final game there was special 💜🧡 and to share the day with @fimorris8 was so beaut. Congratulations to you on your fabulous career, we’ve been lucky to adopt you into the red rose family the last 4 years 🌹❤️

Thank you all again for the love and support and cheers to the wobble 🥂 by @crossy16

It’s the people who make the place 🌹❤️🏡

Last night saw me say goodbye to my home club, and the place that helped me fall in love with the game. I’ve loved representing Lancashire for 22 years and will miss it, but will miss the team and the people the most 🥰❤️

Thank you to the girls and the staff for making it such a special night and a big shout out to @thetrofmcr for hosting everyone at such short notice 🤌🏻👏🏻
