Celebrating 11 years of our extraordinary Bryn. One of a kind in every way, she fills our lives with more wonder, love, and joy than we could have ever imagined.

Celebrating her birthday at Disneyland has become one of our favorite traditions, and this year brought a little extra magic with a new adventure in Tokyo.

Being her parents is our life’s greatest privilege, and getting to show her the world she was so clearly born to make a difference in is our greatest adventure.

How lucky we are to know her, to love her, and to watch her become exactly who she is meant to be.

Chasing waterfalls, fall colors, and a little autumn magic we don’t get much of in our tropical life.

One of the most beautiful parts of homeschooling is that the world becomes our classroom.
.
Today, that classroom was Sensō-ji Temple in Tokyo.
Instead of just reading about history, culture, and religion, we get to experience them firsthand. To observe traditions, ask questions, and discover perspectives different from our own.

For us, education goes beyond academics. It’s about raising a curious, open-minded human who appreciates differences, approaches the unfamiliar with respect, and recognizes the beauty in all walks of life.

We spent our last week in Koh Samui before setting off to the mainland. This island has its own zany charm that was nice to explore before taking off. It served as a re-integration into a more busy way of life.
.
Island living has suited us really well. We haven’t had a day go by where we don’t look at each other and say “Is this really our life?!”
We are gearing up to travel these next few months but living here, this way, feels like home and I already miss the pace, the people, the shoe-less walks, endless delicious vegan options, the birdsong and wildlife, the love discovered and the magnificence that is Thailand.

This was our last week in Koh Phangan after calling it home these last 5 months.
This place calls you in and the gravity is substantial. It was a bittersweet goodbye… for now. We will be back to reclaim the parts of our souls that stayed behind to keep residency there. taken in Koh Phangan, Thailand by @crowandroseflows
