- This is so much more than basketball. It’s family. It’s loyalty. It’s showing up year after year, no matter what. The New York Knicks are NBA Champions, and I’m practically sitting here in tears thinking about everything this journey has meant. The joy this season brought us is something I’ll never forget, but what makes it even more special is celebrating it where it all began … 107 Cortlandt St. With my dad. With my family. On the same stomping grounds where so many memories were made for us.
And I know my grandma is celebrating too. I can feel her right here with us, smiling through every basket, every comeback, every victory.

This championship brought people together. It gave us memories we’ll talk about forever. I don’t call it Madison Square Cortlandt for no reason. This is home. I couldn’t be prouder to be a New Yorker.

- This one deserves a permanent spot on my timeline. Long story short (not really lol) … I’ve been a Knicks fan my entire life, but I’ve been a fan of Sprewell (@ballinspree08 ) for just as long.

My dad has worked at SUNY Purchase College since 1990, back when it was the home of the Knicks practice facility. Some of my favorite childhood memories were being able to catch the end of practices, attend exclusive events, and meet the team. Sprewell was always my favorite. I used to get my hair braided just like his. 😂 I never thought that at 32 years old I’d still be fanning out over the player who made me fall in love with being a Knicks fan. I’ve met a lot of people throughout my life and career, and not once have I been star-struck. But I always said if I ever met Sprewell, I might honestly faint. (Surprisingly I didn’t)

Before the meet and greet, I called my dad upset about all the rules. Only one photo on your phone, one autograph on the card they provide, with no exceptions. His response? “You gotta name-drop something. That’s the only way you’re getting that jersey signed.”

Now, if you know me, you know I don’t listen to many people. But my dad is one person I definitely listen to. So when it was my turn, I told Sprewell the story. His reaction was, “Wowww... SUNY Purchase, the practice facility!” Then he said, “I wish you brought a jersey or something. I would’ve loved to sign that too.” I said, Shit, I got 3 🤣

Next thing I know, he let me come behind the table while he signed my jersey. Moments like this don’t come around often. I’m incredibly grateful for it, and it’s a memory I’ll cherish and talk about forever. So proud to be a Knicks fan. 🧡💙 by @crownedyb

- Getting back on the field after all these years made me realize how much of myself I’ve been missing. Somewhere along the way I also lost my passion for videography and creating. Maybe one day I’ll find my way back to it… but for now, I’m just happy to reconnect with something that was once everything to me 🙃✌🏽 by @crownedyb
