Arguably one of the biggest moments in Ferris World Ball history. In 2022, The Pound entered the park on a FIRETRUCK for the championship game, putting the finishing touch on one of the best summers of basketball the park had ever seen.

What many don’t know is Walter King was behind the idea. After losing in the playoffs himself, Walt provided the firetruck (another one of his businesses) to help create a moment the players, fans, and community would never forget. The guys break down how that moment showed exactly who Walter is: turning an idea into an experience, creating exposure for his business, and still making it bigger than himself.

A legendary basketball moment with a businessman’s mindset behind it. 💯

This episode of Westchester Talks is sponsored by Kings House of Fire, featuring a very special guest owner Walter King!

Born and raised in Peekskill, New York, Walter spent four years at Stepinac before briefly trying public school—a move that didn’t quite work out. Although he was an incredibly talented basketball player, his journey eventually took him places far beyond the court.

This clip barely scratches the surface of Walter’s story. Let’s just say his mother was a major inspiration and driving force behind the man and business owner he is today.

The full episode drops Sunday, and you don’t want to miss it—especially if you’re an athlete looking to pivot into the business world. We talk basketball, family, life, business, and everything in between!

From the kitchen lessons his mother taught him at a young age… to building Sea n Soul Bistro 🔥🍽️ (@sea_n_soulbistro ) Ruben talks about always being told:“one day you’ll have to cook for yourself… then for your wife.”

Inspired by both his mother and wife, he created a unique Caribbean soul fusion that brings culture, family, and flavor together. The fellas got to try the food too… safe to say there were no leftovers 😂🔥

With Mother’s Day this Sunday, shoutout to all the moms whose love, recipes, and lessons helped shape generations ❤️

Everybody sees the final product but not the grind behind it.
On this episode of Westchester Talks, @4ngelo5carfone breaks down how it all started from being inspired by a high school morning announcements crew, to putting in real work on the production side in high school and college. He talks about taking chances… stepping into stand-up comedy, charging a couple dollars to record his peers, and figuring it out along the way.

Then comes the turning point. Working at Costco, hearing @cthagod mention he was looking for a videographer on The Brilliant Idiots… and deciding he wasn’t going to let that opportunity pass him.

Pure determination. Now he’s behind the camera for some of the biggest names in the game. A lot of people have the talent. A lot of people have the resources. But do you have the determination and confidence to not let anything stop you from achieving your goals ?

On this episode of Westchester Talks, Angelo Scarfone gets real about his journey navigating adversity, identity, and figuring out where he belonged while growing up in Rye, NY.

That experience shaped how he moved, how he saw the world, and ultimately pushed him to create his own lane instead of waiting for one.

From learning the game on his own, to becoming one of the few doing it both in front of the camera and behind the scenes… Angelo turned uncertainty into direction. Now working with names like @cthagod and @andrewschulz , he didn’t just level up for himself, he brought that same knowledge and production quality back to his community, helping others access opportunities that aren’t always visible at the local level. Building @polymafnetwork, A podcast network created by Angelo to amplify, elevate and empower emerging and established talent.

And in a full-circle moment… something as small as a championship ring, once just a reminder of where he came from, now represents how far he’s come. This episode is about resilience, identity, and building something real when you feel like you don’t fit the mold.

It’s 70° in New York today… the type of weather that got everybody thinking about street ball tournaments again.

So we had to take it back to the real story behind the legendary Team 914 vs Team Nike game at Dyckman in 2011. Featuring special appearances from @easymoneysniper with Team Nike and @michael8easley with Team 914. One of those games that people still talk about.

That run was different. And the people who lived it can tell the story… even if others try to rewrite the history.

It wouldn’t be Westchester Talks if we didn’t ask for a Top 5.

Founder of Team 914, Coach K and longtime Team 914 player “The Problem” pulled up and Lex had to put them on the spot…Who are the Top 5 Team 914 players of all time?

Now THAT’S a tough question, but we can’t argue with Coach K & The Problem

They also spoke on how the culture shifted once they stepped away from the game, and how things started to change… while giving flowers to Fred for keeping the legacy alive through The Pound and making sure the game stayed local to the 914. This is real Westchester streetball history.
