Y’all… #LDNScavengerHunt2025 went down last July! 🎉

Months later, I’m finally sitting down with all the pics and videos — smiling, laughing, completely in awe, and so full of GRATITUDE. ✨

It started with @n4dup during @thenycscavengerhunt joyfully suggesting I bring it to London. And while this wasn’t the first time someone said take it beyond NYC… something in my spirit said: it’s time.

London is a city I’ve been returning to more and more these past few years. After 13 summers in NYC, I felt ready to embark on a new quest. 🗺️ Months of planning and deep research later, I found myself falling even more in love with this vast, diverse city. There were serious challenges, deep doubts — mixed with wide-eyed excitement — but the intention behind the event stayed clear and guided me the whole way.

One of the biggest gifts? Watching Londoners discover places new to them in their own city. That… is the greatest compliment I could have ever received. 🌟

To the hunters: THANK YOU. Thank you for trusting me, for bringing your beautiful energy, for spending a day in safe play, freedom, joy, and exploration with each other. You came from everywhere — locals, NYC, Cali, Paris. People shifted plans, showed up not knowing what to expect, curious and ready. And wow… what a day. 🎉

Friends were made. Connections deepened. And I got to eat some bomb ass callaloo patties 😌

To everyone who held this with me: @thezooxyz (Nadu, Chantel, Kiana, Jordache), @susankelechiwatson @evaluria (has done *every* hunt!!) @ladyzjah @chantelrenee21 @sahra_mellesse…and especially lil bro n sis @adekunleoduye @mspej_u — your support, your time, your spaces, your belief in me… it all mattered more than you know. 🙏

This was the first hunt outside NYC — and it only happened because people showed up with love, trust, and belief.
And that means everything. ✨

Throwing it back to May, when I had the honor of being part of the opening committee for the reopening of the Michael D. Rockefeller Wing @metmuseum

What some see as “art” are, for many, historical, cultural, spiritual, and ancestral vessels. Now, made personal, as folk sniff around our own familial pieces to sell from ‘high demand’.

The newly reimagined galleries were shaped with care and intention, in collaboration with voices from across Africa, Oceania, and the Americas like @sosena. It’s a meaningful step toward deeper conversations and practice on how we continue to preserve, honor, and steward our cultural legacies.

If you find yourself at The Met, go see what’s been made anew. And *then* make your way to @culturalmuseumofafricanart in Bed-Stuy, where Eric Edwards keeps the spirit close with a part of his extraordinary collection on view. More on *that* soon.

So last Sunday I did a thing with some of the most amazing people! #TheNYCScavengerHunt2024 went down for the 13th summer on a Sunday in August.
2011 found me in a career transition...things were moving but did not feel joyful. I craved to tap back into fun. So inspired by a doll hunt I participated in as a camp counselor @cflsunsetpark , I had what felt like a crazy idea to do something similar with adults - put people in teams; following clues, doing activities and games as a group around Brooklyn. I sent out an email + 10 people showed up (i was geeked!!!)☺️
Every year since (except 2020) it has happened, growing larger + larger. Artists, educators, doctors, journalists, architects, community leaders and more have gathered in safe community to explore almost 70 locations in all 5 boroughs! From the Statue of Liberty🗽to City Island to an airport runway @ Floyd Bennett field, doing activities like relay races, kayaking, an egg drop challenge off the High Line + water balloon fights…Traveling only by subway, bus, ferry and one year quad bikes! 😅
This year 74 divine spirits (a hunt high!!) showed up under serious threat of rain to play and run around this great city I love dearly & call home.
Magically, the rain stopped as soon as we started and the sun came out blazing! #ThankYouGod
I am overwhelmed, humbled + extremely thankful that people still show up. I love seeing people play + laugh together, discover new things in this city, meet new friends and connect deeper with old friends.
To those who came this year 💛thank you💛
If you’ve ever graced the hunt with your presence + joy, 💛thank you💛
To those who come back year after year, 💛thank you💛
I’d love to share this experience with as many people here and who knows? perhaps in other cities!😊 We’ll see.

Remember- find the joy + fun in life where you are + with people you love…you’d be surprised at how much it feeds your soul, reminding you of who you are and what this is life really is all about.

Jocelyn, for me, you embody fully when people say good things happen to good people. You are literally one of the best that I know. thank you for being such an amazing friend.
We know this road hasn’t/isn't been smooth or straightforward, to say the least. But you epitomize what it means to be talented, clear, to honor one’s unique vision (and therefore yourself), persistant, to move forward in spite of fear + the unknown and to share/pass one what you know selflessly.
