ADAM AGAIN

Some MORE scrawlings over some proof of concept pieces @adam_gallavin and I were messing around with the other day. Long form double exposure shots printed on gloss and then smeared(?) with smeary-goop.

My fellow cryptids and I saw the last batch I made and decided to cook up some more each for a collaborative piece for our next exhibition

As you all know, Adam is the ring leader of The Cryptid Collective and that makes him our band of misfits’ dad so you have to be nice to him because he’s cool and multitalented and because he sprained his ankle.

They didn’t go as planned but he let me keep the practice editions to make this, while he perfects the technique

The Lizard-Alien connection is strong

Check out this piece by fellow Cryptid, @t_clifton_

You may know Tyler as “the sticker man”, for his cosmic work keeping the city covered in stickers written in his language (pretty sure he can teleport between them).

Here we have depicted: one King Komodo, empowered by the writ

Tyler and I have two similar yet distinct styles and if you like what I do, you will also like what he does.
You should follow him, because he puts out more art than anyone I know.

The Mind’s Invisible Mouth

Portraits were printed out and each artist hand drew their own design. Drawings were then scanned and blended back into the original portraits using photoshop.

It speaks in soft caresses of hieroglyphs scrawled along unseen alleyways of the skull, of mystical leeway and forgotten riverbeds. Passageways between cracked minds vanish overhead kaleidoscopic yonic eyes while the sonic vertebrate communicates oblivious surrogates oceans deep, sedating aphotic biology fearlessly. Genius urges give way to internal revolutions, hidden criminal leanings and rogue folk mantras. Moonstruck, the mad blurred lizard stares into the blazing Sun and laughs. Its smile is a slow motion dance with the Earth and its walk is a drunken song.

The waking senses enkindle dead matter; at dawn, the burning Sun sets Fire to the sleeping Earth. At night, we undergo submersion; the wild winds of the intellect become oceanic and flowing, rising and falling in worship of the gravitational rhythms of the Moon, lunar tides breathing with the ebb and flow of a sleeping beast who has shed the burden of geometry, just another insignificant creeping thing in the swarming ecosystem of the mind, destined to dance and shout and glow in the confusion of existence without ever knowing why, until the preternatural Fire of day flares the eyes wide open to tend the world in isolation, remembering only that something was forgotten before forgetting even that, until we meet again. In that sense, life is just a dream that death forgets, leaving only a rusted human meat tree and the smell of dead perfume.

Meditation’s luminous Fire flicks quick flashes exposing reality. Integration helplessly falters as the dreamer’s denizens hallucinate.
