A night where everyone gets to share their diggings. Whether it’s a forgotten gem, a fresh find, or something you’ve been wanting others to hear, pass it to the booth and let the music do the talking.

We understand that some love their pop records, but we feel that there is another time and place for it. No harm no foul, just there may be many other personal favourites that we do not get to share ourselves, this is the place to share them.

We are charging a fully redeemable RM15 drink coupon
With an RM10 on top if you don’t bring your own record

Ryuichi Sakamoto: Selected Pianoworks

While Ryuichi Sakamoto is the star of the night, to us, our real stars behind the session are these two:

@bungactiongirl of Ongaku O Kiku and @rockengi of @fyp.radio.

Both constantly pushing their own boundaries, taking risks and finding new ways to share and experience music.

Bunga has played some of KL’s biggest rooms, while also curating creative happenings and festivals along the way. His taste moves across all genres but he has always had a soft spot for the Land of the Rising Sun.

For this session, he returns to the basics — listening.

While some dig deep into music, others dig deeper into how we experience it. The speaker, turntable and space can completely change the way a record reveals itself.

Then there’s Loon — sound engineer and the man behind @fyp.radio . His curiosity takes him deep into records, vintage technology and the endless question of why things sound the way they do.

With FYP Radio, he’s been exploring that question through listening sessions that bring people, music and sound systems together.

Out of the usual programming, what better way to hold it in a space that has hosted artists showcases.

One thing we know to be true:
the DJs we love usually hate being pigeonholed.

We share a common vision: great electronic music, a dark room, a decent soundsystem, and enough space for the DJs to make bold decisions and create unpredictable moments on the dancefloor.

If you’re looking for familiar sounds that you and your friends can sing along to, this ain’t the one.

But if you like getting lost in your own little world, moving to sounds that catch your attention and keep you guessing — come through.

A little dancefloor etiquette for this one:
We’d really encourage everyone to keep the phones out of the dancefloor. Take a photo, grab a short video, keep a little memory of the night — of course. But after that, put it away and get back into the music.
There’s something quite special about being able to dance like nobody’s watching. We’d like to keep that feeling alive, especially in the age of smartphones.

This time, he’s bringing out his newly expanded collection of Chinese records — with a heavy focus on music from closer to home, MALAYSIA.

There’s so much incredible music in our own backyard that often gets overlooked while we’re busy looking elsewhere.

So this round, Abg Soulie has a simple mission:
show us what we’ve been missing.

The man is practically a mobile music library.

Constantly digging, collecting and following musical rabbit holes that most people might overlook. The result is a sound that is unmistakably Ron Hameed.

This Saturday, he transforms Commune into his extended living room and invites you to occupy the space while he drops the needle on records that excite him.

Just like a night at his house, expect wonky dubby rhythms, obscure melodies and strange little gems from all corners of the world.
