this past weekend I hosted the ‘Let’s Link’ picnic, and as my first event, it went better than I could’ve ever asked for 🥹

all the girls showed out in their white and denim outfits looking STUNNING 🤩

it was beautiful to see women connecting in such an intimate way 🥺

we took lots and lots and lots of

polaroid pics 📸

I created some watercolor affirmation cards that touched some healing hearts 💞

we posted up for some selfies 🤳

making sure everyone felt included 🤗

there were so many different conversations all happening at once! 🤭

and my favorite part was witnessing all the gorgeous smiles 🥹

I was overwhelmed with gratitude for their presence 🫂

I loved capturing their reactions to my diy picnic goodie bags 🥲

my heart felt so full as I realized I had accomplished my goal of creating a sense of sisterhood 💕

it was nonstop laughter 😂

and new friends were made 🥹

I loved that we were able to still have some camaraderie and competition!! 😭❤️

I’m so proud to have fostered an environment where everyone felt safe enough to come out of their shell 🫶🏼

the vibes were so high we stayed 2 extra hours just chit chatting 🤭

My biggest takeaway is that when you’re brave and take chances on a calling you feel in your heart, and you follow that calling up with action, intention, and purpose you don’t just open doors for yourself— you create new worlds for others to enjoy as well 🥺💕

For a long time, I was afraid to call myself a creative—or what I now proudly claim: an artist. Growing up, art always felt secondary to survival. I thought stability was the only dream worth chasing. But living and learning at NYU, I realized peace and stability are birthrights, not rewards for sacrificing passion.

Studying Media, Culture, and Communication taught me that storytelling is more than just words—it’s a way to build worlds, to honor voices, and to reflect power and change. Alongside that, minoring in Creative Writing allowed me to take my passion for words seriously, teaching me how to craft narratives that speak truth and inspire connection.
More than anything, embracing my creativity has been a way to honor my ancestors and my family. Their sacrifices paved the way for me to dream big, and I carry their legacy with pride and purpose. It was here in New York City—born and raised in Brooklyn, moving to Queens, attending high school in East Harlem, and now studying at NYU in Greenwich Village—where I learned to reconnect with my inner child. I found the part of me that dreams without limits and creates without fear, allowing my artistic voice to flourish. It’s where my dreams took shape against the backdrop of resilience and possibility.

Against the odds, I secured over a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships and grants to turn this dream into reality, graduating with university honors and magna cum laude. A testament to dedication, faith, and the sacrifices of those who came before me. Here’s to embracing my authentic voice, honoring my story, and building worlds that inspire. This is just the beginning of my legacy as a first-generation NYU graduate.

I had a vision, @luvr.lyfestyle had a camera, and we had a parking lot. Would you believe these were taken in a public parking lot?

p.s: I’m noticing I’ve been into adding movement to my pictures. It feels like attempts at capturing the constant movement in identity we constantly battle with.
