This September, the CT3 Foundation is Going Gold alongside the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation in honor of @keepfightingforkai, his family, and every child and family whose life has been impacted by pediatric cancer. 💛🎗️
Our connection to this mission began when we started the foundation shortly after both Mary and myself lost loved ones to cancer. Through our work, we have met some of the strongest and most resilient kids along with their families who have had to face challenges no child or parent should ever have to endure. One of those warriors is Kai, who has been fighting cancer his entire life. I first met Kai on the field during batting practice at Dodger Stadium and have been following his journey ever since. Kai’s joy for life and his infectious smile inspire me every day. The challenges he and his family have had to face day in and day out are unimaginable for most of us. Kai’s story has helped us to better understand the profound challenges that children with cancer and their loved one’s face throughout diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. It is a powerful reminder of why pediatric cancer research cannot wait. Throughout Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, CT3 Foundation is honored to partner with PCRF in support of the researchers, families, advocates, and young warriors working toward a future in which every child has the opportunity to not only survive, but thrive beyond their diagnosis.

Recently, Mary and I were honored to celebrate the grand opening of the @ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic by Kathy Taggares in Los Angeles!

Located in Carson, this new facility will provide free and low-cost vet care to beloved pets of eligible pet owners, while also serving as the new home of the ASPCA’s Los Angeles Kitten Foster Program, giving even more vulnerable kittens the chance to grow, thrive and find loving homes.

Thank you to ASPCA President & CEO Matt Bershadker, founding donor Kathy Taggares and the dedicated team at the clinic, whose vision, generosity and hard work help make this lifesaving program possible in Los Angeles.

The opening comes at a fantastic time as the ASPCA kicks off The Rescue Effect, a national campaign dedicated to helping animals find loving homes. The idea is simple: When we help one, we help many. That’s The Rescue Effect.

Today we joined our friends at @varietybgc to unveil their new Hope Collaborative center. In partnership with USC’s Institute for Addiction Science @iasatusc, and designed by @melissa_shapiro_interiors, this space will house resources for families affected by mental health and addiction.

We are humbled to have provided funding to transform this space into a hub for the Boyle Heights community that we hope will lessen the stigma surrounding mental illness and offer the support and assistance that all families deserve. by @ct3foundation

Our polar plunge is a little more than two weeks away!
