When we signed up for baseball early this spring, we had no idea another round of relapse and radiation treatment was ahead of us. Between therapy, recovery, and waiting out the crazy so cal heat wave we never see, it felt like getting on the field was a distant dream.
But today? Today he finally put on that uniform, stepped up to the tee, and ran those bases. ⚾✨thank you, coach Nick for your kindness
It wasn’t easy, and it was emotional in every single way, but watching him out there with his friends was worth every second of the wait. We couldn’t be prouder of our boy. 💙 (And yes, we had to repp the @dodgers for pre-game prep before getting his team jersey! @ct3foundation @ctaylor_3 @redturn2 standing with us 🧢)

This September, the CT3 Foundation is Going Gold alongside the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation in honor of @keepfightingforkai, his family, and every child and family whose life has been impacted by pediatric cancer. 💛🎗️
Our connection to this mission began when we started the foundation shortly after both Mary and myself lost loved ones to cancer. Through our work, we have met some of the strongest and most resilient kids along with their families who have had to face challenges no child or parent should ever have to endure. One of those warriors is Kai, who has been fighting cancer his entire life. I first met Kai on the field during batting practice at Dodger Stadium and have been following his journey ever since. Kai’s joy for life and his infectious smile inspire me every day. The challenges he and his family have had to face day in and day out are unimaginable for most of us. Kai’s story has helped us to better understand the profound challenges that children with cancer and their loved one’s face throughout diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. It is a powerful reminder of why pediatric cancer research cannot wait. Throughout Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, CT3 Foundation is honored to partner with PCRF in support of the researchers, families, advocates, and young warriors working toward a future in which every child has the opportunity to not only survive, but thrive beyond their diagnosis.

Recently, Mary and I were honored to celebrate the grand opening of the @ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic by Kathy Taggares in Los Angeles!

Located in Carson, this new facility will provide free and low-cost vet care to beloved pets of eligible pet owners, while also serving as the new home of the ASPCA’s Los Angeles Kitten Foster Program, giving even more vulnerable kittens the chance to grow, thrive and find loving homes.

Thank you to ASPCA President & CEO Matt Bershadker, founding donor Kathy Taggares and the dedicated team at the clinic, whose vision, generosity and hard work help make this lifesaving program possible in Los Angeles.

The opening comes at a fantastic time as the ASPCA kicks off The Rescue Effect, a national campaign dedicated to helping animals find loving homes. The idea is simple: When we help one, we help many. That’s The Rescue Effect.

When all your 11 year old dreams come true in one night!! Surprise flight from Montana to Salt Lake City to see Chris Taylor, her favorite former UVA and Dodgers baseball player, who she got to see play in the World Series two years ago!! He is currently spending a little time in the minors and she got to meet him and get some autos!! And then he threw her a ball!! Bucket list night for this kid! “This is the best day of my life!” Thanks, CT3, for everything and for also being an awesome human with a great Foundation!

At this year’s Polar Plunge, we had the opportunity to raffle off a signed Chris Taylor Dodgers jersey, made possible by the generosity of the Taylor family. Their support allowed us to add something truly special to an already meaningful day.

Events like this continue to highlight the impact of the CT3 Foundation and the Friendship Foundation, and the way this community comes together to support children and families facing life-altering challenges.

Thank you to everyone who took the plunge in support of children facing cancer ❄️🎗️🌊

The @CT3Foundation Polar Plunge at the Manhattan Beach Pier united athletes, families, and supporters who braved the Pacific to help fund critical pediatric cancer research, patient care, and survivorship programs. We were honored to hear from Survivor Scholarship awardee Parker Shubin and pediatric oncology mom Melissa Atwood who spoke powerfully about the urgent need to fund new treatments so kids fighting cancer can pursue their dreams and live happy, healthy futures.

We are deeply grateful to the CT3 Foundation, @CTaylor_3 and @MKTaylor808, the participants, volunteers, and partners who made this meaningful event possible. A very special thank you to Melissa, Chase, Cruz, and Kai (@KeepFightingForKai), whose connection opened the door to an inspiring organization and an extraordinary community!
