PROJECT ONE. 🔴⚫️🚴🏼

A few miles, a few races and plenty of memories already made on this one.

Still one of those bikes that makes you look back every time you walk away from it. 👌🏼

Great to get out in the Infantry colours and capture some proper shots. 📸 Thank you @cycling_freddie 🚴🏼💨👊

Ride. Race. Repeat. 🚴🏼💨👊

What a day the boys and girls had on their bikes! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️🔥

From gravel bikes to mountain bikes, everyone turned up to the RMAS Gravel Race with their game legs on and tackled the course with plenty of grit and determination. 👊

I was slightly jealous that I wasn’t racing - because, as we all know, anything is better than nothing! 😂🚴

But a massive well done to everyone who showed up, got stuck in and smashed the race.

This is exactly what these events are all about - inspiring Armed Forces personnel to pick up a bike, get involved and join in the fun. 🇬🇧🚴

And did you know it’s not just serving personnel? Our veteran and Civil Service communities can get involved too, as long as they have the appropriate insurance. 🙌

You don’t need the fastest bike.
You don’t need to be the fittest rider.
And you definitely don’t need to worry about where you finish in the pack.

Just turn up, ride your bike and have a bloody good time doing it. 👊🔥

That’s what it’s all about. 🚴‍♂️💨

Race days are what it’s all about. 🙌

They get me out of the office and into the action-racing bikes, ringing the bell, and capturing some incredible moments behind the camera. 🚴📸🔔

There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere, the effort from every rider, and being able to play a small part in the day, both on and off the bike.

Inter Services Men’s Road Race 🚴‍♂️

What a race to watch.

Every rider dug deep and gave absolutely everything for their respective branches of the United Kingdom Armed Forces. The speed these lads reach is incredible, and the commitment and determination on display from start to finish was outstanding.

A huge well done to everyone who took part.

Army Champs Support Race 🏁

Finally, a podium! 👊🥉

It’s been a long time coming, but today everything clicked. Really pleased to take 3rd place in the Army Champs Support Race.

To top it off, it was my 3rd-fastest 20K ever, knocking 1 minute 40 seconds off my previous best, and my fastest average speed in the last three weeks.

Since Chase the Sun, I’ve felt a lot stronger on the bike. Fitness is building, confidence is building, and it’s great to see the hard work starting to pay off.

Casper the Ghost was 2nd… 👻🤣

Now it’s time to keep the momentum going. 🚴💨👊

It’s been a few years since I’ve ridden MTB, but it felt great to be back on the fat tyres instead of the skinny road tyres. 🚵‍♂️

I won’t be rushing to swap the road bike for the mountain bike though… yesterday was an absolute beast! 🤢😂

The roots, the climbs (some of which I proudly walked 🤣), the technical sections, and the constant effort were a reminder that MTB fitness is a completely different kind of fitness.

It was tough, but the downhill sections made every climb worthwhile. They reminded me why getting out on the trails is so addictive. Great to get back out in the woods, get dusty, and enjoy the trails again. 👊🌲🚵‍♂️

Thank you Rob @ryimagesphotos for the images. 👊
