The Champaign County Humane Society is happy to announce a new program: Home To Home™!
•
Home To Home™ helps pets stay out of shelters. It is a unique, direct-to-adopter tool for pet guardians looking to rehome or find a foster for their animal(s). In just a few simple steps, pets can find a loving new home without ever seeing the inside of a shelter. It’s free to use for pet owners, foster providers, and adopters alike, and gives animals needing a new home the best of both worlds: their current guardian can find the best fit, and their adopter can learn all about their personality and preferences first-hand. It’s a win-win for pets!

Neena is a STAFF FAVORITE pet! Here's what Animal Care member, Ryan, has to say about her:

"Neena was at the shelter when I first began working here in June, and I always looked forward to beginning morning walks because I usually began with her. She would always get so excited to go outside and start doing her wiggly happy dance, paired with her funny little smile - she was just the most endearing thing! Since working with Neena more, I’ve discovered that, beyond her cute quirks, she’s an incredibly affectionate dog - loving nothing more than a friendly visit in her kennel - and sooo smart. Neena is a quick learner with several tricks under her belt already (her favorite being “shake”), and would assuredly love to learn more in her forever home. This well-behaved, sweet girl has been waiting so patiently for someone to notice her, and I honestly have no idea how she hasn’t been adopted yet!"

Meet Anubis, our @nomahomepros "Underdog of the Month” for October! She is a 4-year-old black cat who has been at the shelter since July.

Despite her name, Anubis is not a spooky girl! She is getting over-looked for adoption because of her shyness. We’re hoping this sweet girl will appeal to a cat-lover who appreciates the benefits of an “aloof feline.”

Anubis really is a sweet kitty who enjoys affection once she gets to know you. She prefers a home with no children and no other cats. Anubis wants to be your one and only.

Thank you to Noma Home Pros for supporting Anubis this month. If you are looking to add a not so spooky feline companion to your home, check her out at cuhumane.org! Can’t adopt Anubis? You can still help by sharing this post to find her the perfect home!

9 year old Clover is available for adoption at CCHS!

Clover has been extremely shy since coming to our shelter, she has taken quite a bit of time to warm up to staff here. Clover is a very sweet and affectionate girl when she is more confident in her surroundings. Due to her stressed nature, Clover is on a prescription diet for stress related urinary issues that have not occured since being on the diet, so it would be beneficial for her to continue this diet in her new home! Once Clover has gotten used to her surroundings and knows her human companions, she loves to engage in a game of fetch!

Clover must go to a home where there are no other animals, due to them stressing her out in her previous home. Clover has never been around children, so we are unsure how she would do with them.

If you are interested in adopting Clover, please stop in and ask to meet with her!
