Summertime swab selfie: Reminder to schedule regular STI and HIV screenings. Know your status!!

If you are HIV positive, early treatment will help you live a healthy life! Getting on and staying on treatment can help you reach an undetectable viral count, which means you cannot pass the virus through seggz.

I speak openly about my HIV status to combat stigma because Undetectable means untransmittable. #UequalsU

If you are negative and have risk factors for HIV, consider going on #PrEP (Preexposure Prophylaxis). Queer male presenting Latino with beard posing while performing a swab for an STI test. by @cuddlesforallan

"A drag dancer stomped on the gunman with her high heels."

Can we take a moment to say that femmes, drag queens, and non-masculine presenting members of our community are warriors.

Reading this absolutely made me cry with pride for how our community responded to the mass shooting in Colorado Springs this weekend. Club Q should name a cocktail after this drag queen and when we learn her name, tip her as much as she tipped her heel into the accused gunman, grandson of California Assemblymember Randy Voepel. taken in Club Q Colorado Springs by @cuddlesforallan

Days after 37 GOPs voted against the Respect for Marriage Act, the day Elon Musk reinstated Donald Trump’s Twitter, minutes before Trans Day of Remembrance, a Colorado Springs shooter murders five, injures 18 at Club Q, a gay bar set to host an all ages musical drag brunch today.

Mourning our lost siblings must include speaking out against the vocal minority at the root of the rise of the most recent wave of hate and political violence. by @cuddlesforallan

That time of year again: Swabs.

As people seek to reclaim a new normal, please remember to re-introduce regular STI check ups to your new normal routines.

With limited routine testing, asymptomatic STDs may have gone undetected during the pandemic's hardest phases.

Many STIs can be prevented and cured, the rates of infection in the region pose a public health risk. If not caught and treated early, some STIs can result in life-long or fatal consequences.

Gonorrhea is also harder to treat because of growing antibiotics resistance.

Poverty and substance abuse, addictions, lack of access to health care, health insurance, and housing are all social determinants of health that disproportionately impact youth, BIPOCs, and the LGBTQIA+ community, especially men who have sex with men and transgender women. by @cuddlesforallan
