This past Tuesday, eleven members of our Spread Bagelry team took part in @bagelup Industry Masterclass in New York City – an immersive experience that deepened our connection to the craft and rich history of bagel-making! 🥯

Our group — made up of corporate leaders, store supervisors, baristas, and bakers — toured five iconic and innovative bagel shops throughout NYC, the heart of bagel culture.

This journey wasn’t just about tasting incredible bagels (though there was plenty of that!). It was about learning the stories, techniques, and passion behind every bagel that inspire us to keep honing our craft back home at @spreadbagelry and expand the boundaries of what we can offer our guests.

From the market disruptors like @popupbagels and @apollobagels to legendary institutions such as @russanddaughters and @utopiabagels, our team got an all-access look at how the bagel landscape is evolving — and even brought it full circle with a hands-on bagel making seminar at @bagel.market!

A huge thank you to @kingarthurbaking for making this entire experience possible, and to the unstoppable @bagelup team — Sam Silverman, Reva Castillenti (@eatsbreads ), and Aidan Everly — for leading the way. We’re also so grateful to the talented bagel makers who welcomed us behind the scenes and generously shared their craft, including @jessespellman.

And of course, a big shoutout to our new friends and fellow bagel aficionados @timkelleydotnet, @jaspers.bagels, and @jennlevine — it was a blast learning and exploring alongside you!

We’re already looking forward to what’s next! by @culinary_nights
