🎄🥔Perfect Roasties Recipe!🥔🎄
.
Can't beat these bad boys, super easy too! Seen loads of different ways going around and we chop and change, but these were done as follows:
1. Par boil til soft on the edges
2. Drain and shake to fluff up those outsides
3. Leave to cool on a cooling rack
4. Heat veg oil and a touch of butter (or whatever fat you prefer) to about 200C Fan
5. Add cooled potatoes, fresh herbs, salt, pepper and garlic and coat
6. Cook on high for about 20 minutes then turn down to 170/180C Fan and cook, turning regularly, until golden and crispy - should be about 1.5-2 hours total depending on where they're sitting in the oven and how big they are
.
ENJOY 🤩

To me, a chocolate tiffin is just whatever I want covered in melted chocolate. Desiccated coconut? Ok. Caramel sauce? Why not. But definitely some crushed biccies for sure ✨✌️

Do you want more easy dessert recipes?

I’m losing my voice so trying something new … scroll pause time 🥧

Just chill with me for a min and try a lazy bake, think festive mince pies without the faff of your shortcrust pastry needing rolling out and cutting, just layer your filo into a greased pie dish and piece it together. Bake for half an hour on 180C and dust (or cover) with icing sugar.

Best to let it cool and reheat so it retains structure, as fresh from the oven will be very liquid inside. Or slice cold and eat like a pizza. Now THATS my kind of Christmas dessert 🥰

Cheap tricks… for gardening! Like reusing waste for garden support… who doesn’t love that?! 🧑‍🌾

Who wants more of my savvy little thoughts? Can you identify which ex-plants I’ve used for supporting my Brussels sprouts?

🌱

Follow @culinaryhubris for more stuff like this I guess

Who else is a serial multitasker? Who else cannot just do a simple task without picking up another? Is this a mum thing? Did I do it before? Maybe not as much. Someone save my sanity and tell me I’m not the only one 🤞✌️💚
