We are proud to be part of a working group in Hastings which has created a new Reducing Poverty in Hastings Action Plan and we are looking forward to the official launch event on 9th October.

For too long, there has been a general perception of ‘poor Hastings’.

If you agree that it’s time for a shift in the narrative, a plan for change, a framework for collaboration and ACTION, this event is a MUST. The talking and thinking has been happening, a draft plan for action is now here.

Join us and be part of the conversation and share ideas, ambitions and evidence as part of an alliance of organisations working together to seek funding to make change happen.

Register for the event via the Hastings Voluntary Action website at:

Earlier this summer, The Skep, the venue at Moulsecoomb Place, came alive for Writers Block x @cultureshiftcio, hosted by Flo Poet @woodzygram. The evening brought people together live performances and open mic slots, creating a welcoming space for people to share their creativity, words and voices.

Writers Block is a creative platform that gives writers, poets and performers the opportunity to express themselves, connect with others and showcase their work. Through East Brighton Trust’s partnership with Writers Block x Culture Shift, The Skep continues to provide a space for creativity, self-expression and community, helping bring inspiring cultural events and opportunities to Moulsecoomb.
