Finally.

I don’t really know how to make this a moment. I’ve sat with this album for so long that, in a way, I’m already past it. I’m just grateful that I’ve come to a place where I can finally share it with whoever feels like listening.

Special thanks to Tom for the album cover.

Vertygo, Sunny, Corcovado, Chachi, Louie, Jobanny, Bucket Boheme, Sethonbass, Orianna, and icyyjon; thank you for your contributions to this work.

Thank you to the ones who have been waiting patiently.

What began in 2019 has finally come to an end.

You put all this effort into a thing, and once it’s out, it doesn’t even belong to you anymore.

Sweet release ❤️ by @cupha.sol

Louie’s Interlude. Unkempt, uncomfortable, unapologetic, unable to ignore that the world is on fire and even a few words can make a difference to someone.

This is a rendition of “Caterpillars In My Stomach.” repackaged as “Louie’s Interlude.” for @cupha.sol’s project, “NEVER SATISFIED”

Link in bio for the full poem 🙇🏽‍♂️🐛

Filmed & directed by @calvinsvision
Also directed by CUPHASOL
Produced by @vertygo
Grey Days zip up hoodie by @broken.certified

More about the poem:
Some of our emotions flourish into butterflies, others are stifled and repressed so they remain caterpillars. This piece is commentary as a result of how we as a collective of cultures teach children, specifically young boys, to internalize many of those emotions when they start showing on their sleeves. Instead of understanding them and finding their cause or a way through.

As time passes, we are all becoming better about the toxic behaviors and repercussions of that BUT there’s some unlearning and unpacking along the way. This is part of that unpacking.

Hoping this pushes someone, regardless of gender, further along their self-discovery, emotional or otherwise.

Thanks to Cupha for hearing something in this piece and wanting to make more out of it. Thanks to Calvin for doing the same and putting his lens on it. Thanks to all the fathers, father figures, and brothers who create space for people to be vulnerable with each other and lead by example. Thanks to you for listening and connecting. Thanks to @lupefiasco just because.

xoxo,

Follow Your Heart

At the Search Grand Finale
I grounded myself
I gave the fear to God

And I told God, you’ve given me this gift,
Now ima go out there and give it to them.

Still NEVER SATISFIED..

But they received.
I was heard, I was felt.

Thank you @originalkreations for capturing this moment

Thank you @orianna.fm for your guidance

Thank you @thesearchri for this opportunity

Thank you @edbradyri for seeing me

Thank you @chachihiphop for believing in me

And thank you @vertygo for making this song with me in 2018! This moment couldn’t have been possible without you bro.

You knew before I did what this song would mean, so thank you for your patience.

I can finally say that BLU PCE will be releasing on my upcoming album.

Coming soon by @cupha.sol
