Twenty-five years ago, we honeymooned in the USVI— super broke after a 400-guest wedding, with barely enough money to truly experience this beautiful island.

Fast forward 25 years and we're back. This time, we brought Ollie to create more memories with.

A second honeymoon? Sorta. 😅 More like a full-circle moment showing our son where our story began, and making new memories we'll treasure just as much.

📍 Norwegian Bliss | Mexican Riviera

Not gonna lie, every time my husband asks if we have the budget for this or that trip I automatically say YES! Then pray the universe will magically figure it out for us later. 😅

When ilani Casino Resort offered me two vouchers for Casinos at Sea on the Norwegian Cruise Line (kids sail free!), we were already scheduled to get on a flight to Australia that same day with vacation money budgeted just for that trip, not a 7-day cruise. But, I was like FIBI: F*ck It. Book It. 💁🏻‍♀️

And that’s what I did so we could celebrate our son’s 9th birthday on his first-ever cruise.

So many flights and various destinations since he was 3mo.

Life out of luggages with hotel check-ins and -outs that it’s become the norm for him.

Now, on his first-ever cruise to celebrate his 9th birthday. ❤️

We spend every dollar we have to travel the world for all the experiences while we still can. We may not be rich, but we are rich in life.

From the moment we met him, I knew this day would come…

As a photographer, I see all the details and do my best to fix anything that is out of place before the images are captured. Because it’s my job to create beautiful moments for others.

For the moment when it was time to tell our son about his adoption story, I never imagined it to be in Sydney, Australia… in our pajamas and cuddled together in our airport hotel room. But, that’s exactly how it happened and it was beautiful.

Later, we looked at the clock through tears and it was 1:00 in the morning. The irony of that is it was exactly the same time we received the phone call almost nine years ago that Oliver was just born and he was ours if we wanted him.

We prayed for 15 years and he was finally ours to hold. 🤍 taken in Sydney, Australia by @cupofbunn

On the last day of our Bali trip, I woke up at 5:00 in the morning and walked all the way down to the beach to set up a time lapse video of the sunrise.

Then, I prematurely turned off my camera and put away the tripod because I didn’t think that I had the sun in view…

…only to discover a minute later that I had the sun centered on my camera the entire time. D’oh! 🤦🏻‍♀️
