Finally getting to be part of this crazy idea becoming reality! 🤯

@yossiclimbs I still can’t believe that phone call. Thank you for trusting me and letting me be part of something so special🤍

It was incredible to witness the whole process, see this wild idea come to life, and watch so many talented people put their hearts into making this insane competition happen.

Before the comp came the setting....

A week of building, testing, tweaking and plenty of laughs to get the routes ready for the 2026 NSW State Open Lead & Para Climbing Titles.

Big shoutout to Head Routesetter Liam Healy and the crew: Carlie LeBreton, Jono Lim, Lily Watkins, Dillon Eduardo and Kale McCauley. Thanks for giving us so much good climbing!

And to our host gym, Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym St Peters, thanks for the awesome walls and for having us!

The comp’s wrapped, but the routes are still up. Go jump on them and tag us, we’d love to see your beta!

Been awhile. So nice to be back.

Struggling with an old injury, health-related weight gain and an extreme lack of confidence, I hid away from one of my biggest loves for far too long…… climbing ❤️

Yesterday, I tried again. No big sends, no crazy dynos, but lots of fun had with the loveliest of people.

Behind the routes

I’ve organised a lot of events over the years, and some of my favourite moments are spent in the lead-up with the setters.

Routesetting is a huge amount of work, but it is also constant conversation. Ideas being shared, moves debated, sequences tested, problems solved and plenty of adjustments along the way.

There is so much creativity, care and thought behind every route the athletes eventually see on the wall. I’m always inspired watching it all come together.

Thanks for letting me hang out, listen in and capture some of the work behind the routes. These events simply wouldn’t happen without you.

A training day with Tahnia, Zoe and Emma. @nomadboulderingsyd

Soooo, I got a new camera.

Last week I filmed a training session with Tahnia, Zoe and Emma. I’ve been wanting to give video a shot for ages, but I’ve always put it off and stuck with photos because that’s what felt more comfortable.

Video definitely felt new and I felt pretty clumsy finding my way with it. Editing for video feels like a maze, but I’m figuring it out slowly lol.

Still a bit nervous to put this out there, but I’m happy with my first go. Lots still to learn, but I’m keen to keep working at it.

Big thank you to Tahnia, Zoe and Emma for letting me follow them around with a camera while they trained. Absolute crushers.

I’m also really keen to see more videos of the women crushers in our climbing community, so maybe this was a good time to start. ✨✨
