Check out the latest issue of @bicyclingmag, a prominent and leading magazine that covers all corners of the cycling world, where our fearless leader, @curran_j, was featured on the front cover. Curran was selected by Bicycling Magazine as one of last year’s 2023 Riders of the Year! Throughout his career, Curran has continuously challenged the status quos that exist within the cycling industry. He’s made significant strides to creating opportunities for the world to witness the extraordinary talent of people who are often overlooked because they don’t fit the standards of traditional cyclists. His saying, “My team [consisting] of different body types, ethnic backgrounds, and more … we’re here to create the standard” is a testament to just how important shaking things up and making change happen is to Curran and our community.

Curran, we are extremely proud of you and the supportive community you’ve created that allows people to exist and excel as athletes.

3rd time’s a charm. 🇯🇲

Every time I come to Jamaica I leave with a new appreciation for the island. This trip had a different purpose. I came down solo to experience the routes, connect with the local cycling community, and see what makes the gravel riding so unique.

I stayed at Riu Montego Bay, and there was always something to do. But as much fun as the resort was, getting out and exploring the island was the part I looked forward to the most.

From riding through small communities and taking in the hilltop views to stopping for roadside food, grabbing patties, enjoying authentic jerk chicken, and trying whatever looked good along the way, every day offered something different. It wasn’t just about the riding. It was about the people, the culture, and seeing another side of Jamaica.

One thing that really stood out was how welcoming everyone was. Almost every person I passed spoke, waved, or stopped to have a conversation. You could feel the pride they have for their communities, and that made the experience even better. Those conversations and interactions are what I’ll remember the most.

It’s a great opportunity to ride some incredible gravel, connect with local communities, support local businesses, and experience the island from a different perspective.

A huge thank you to @rascoates and Wayne for hosting me with so much love. Thank you for sharing the history, culture, and the ins and outs of so many parts of Jamaica. I left with a much deeper appreciation for the island.

A $5 conversation turned into one of my favorite memories from Raleigh/Durham.

King walked up Friday morning asking for help. After that he spent the weekend helping me and other vendors however he could. He worked hard, shared pieces of his story, and reminded me not to judge people by their circumstances.

I gave him a @krtcycling t shirt, socks, and flip-flops. The funny thing was that once he had the shirt on, people seemed to see him differently. More people talked to him. More people trusted him. More doors opened.

Later in the weekend I caught him playing cornhole, laughing, and just enjoying being part of the event.

This video is from Day 2 when he was supposed to be there at 6:15 AM. 😂

Sometimes people only see the tattoos, the circumstances, or the struggles. I got the chance to see the person. Keep pushing, King. 💪🏾📈

Pulled up for the @cyclecaribbean inaugural Cycle Punta Cana trip and it was everything it needed to be. My first international cycling trip was Jamaica in 2022 with cyclejamaica, and ever since then I’ve been hooked on these experiences.

There’s something special about bringing people from all over together to ride, stay active, and still enjoy a real vacation. This trip was dope because it welcomed all levels of cyclists, so everybody could enjoy it at their own pace.

We stayed at an all-inclusive resort, so the downtime was just as good as the ride time. But what made it even better was getting outside the resort, seeing the real Punta Cana, riding the roads, and tapping in with the local people and culture. Ate fresh coconut straight from the source, tried fresh-made coffee prepared by a Dominican “microwave” as they call it, and really got to experience the island beyond the resort.

Another first for me was hopping on a buggy/ATV and tearing through Punta Cana. Definitely one for the memories. We also hit the infamous Coco Bongo, which was an experience all by itself.

This trip I also switched it up and used the @oakleymeta Meta glasses to capture everything instead of being on my phone the whole time. Safe to say I’m entering a new era lol.
