Shared delusions and ethereal shit talking. Exploring the waves of the human experience. We hope you enjoy the ride 🌊
POSTS STORIES REELS
This thing, Current Wave, started out with a phone call to a friend in January 2022 - I was talking about @inner__tide and saying that I wanted to be a guest on a few podcasts. I was walking in Zilker Park in Austin with my dog, it was late afternoon, sunny, a little windy and a little chilly. My friend Hannah said, wait, why dont you just do a podcast. At first I was like, no, I dont want a podcast, why would a do a podcast?? And that somehow very quickly turned into, wow, I really want to do a podcast. I’m going to do a podcast. Current Wave has already had many iterations and configurations behind the scenes. She’s dyaminc and contains multitudes. In many ways she’s a personal exercise for my throat chakra. She’s also a natural impulse for me, as someone who has my Sun & Venus in Gemini, conjunct Mercury in Taurus - Venus and Mercury are not only conjunct within 1 degree, they also have a mutual reception which is sweet and harmonious. These buddies are all hanging out in the 11th house so I get to be my gemini self and speak with a lot of different people from all the groups and networks I feel so lucky to be tapped into. Our subtitle is “shared delusions and etherial shit talking” - because with all this mercurial energy, I love talking smack in the best of ways. Not gossip the way you think of it in high school sitcoms, BIG gossip, GOOD gossip, gossip about history, ideas, art, money, cities, perceived healthy foods (kale 🥴), random events, astrology, time, our conceptions of the self. You get the picture. We hope to go deep AND broad. With a lot of twists along the way. Thank you for being here! Comment! Send us a DM! Leave a review! We wanna hear your shared delusions and etherial shit talking too. With love, Ayla PHOTO AND COLLABORATION BY @hannahmcintosh3 by @current__wave

Feeling blocked? Sachi says it's usually because there's too much input. 🔇 Her fix: cut the noise, then move. Go for a walk, and once you drop into flow, start recording a voice memo. Extraction. Independence. Then, finally, integration. 🌊 Stephanie breaks down the three phases of masculine and feminine dynamics, and why so many of us are stuck in the "50-50, everything's equal" phase, capable, independent, and a little bit starved for juiciness. "I've got it. I’ve got it." How many times have you said that to someone just trying to open a door for you? 🚪 In this clip, Stephanie talks about the arc from needing full independence to finding real harmony, and why receiving something as small as a held door is practice for receiving something much bigger. You can do the work. Get good with your money. Have plenty to spend. And still feel guilty spending it on yourself. 💸 That's not a math problem. It's an inside job. This is why we’re here ~ for the human experience, to walk our path, to remember who we really are, to gain it all and loose it all, and gain it all again. It’s a very imperfect experience this being human. You’re doing great 💫 by @current__wave
Before the answer, there's a question. Before the vision, there's the stillness. 🌙 We want to move forward because we think we know where we're going. But what if sitting in the not knowing is the real work? New episode of Current Wave is live. Link in bio. by @current__wave
