Finally have my input graph to check for binary behavior on the pedals. Big thanks @bossbossracing for the comprehensive youtube tutorial on putting this layout together(i will fix the crop next time) and @dragy_motorsports for the opportunity to try out your Dragy Pro lap timer!

Fifth event on these VR1s and it was hot as balls. I think starting the day already expecting less grip with this set put a pre-limiter on my confidence, leading to quite a bit of unnecessary overslowing and turning in too early for margin instead of looking further ahead and really exploring it for myself in real-time. Despite that, it was so fun to first-time this track and I appreciated the sim prep with @outrun.timeattack

What a gift it is to suffer 100+ degrees and throw down mid laps with your sweaty dehydrated friends, who’s stomachs are all brewing with the team effort of finishing the single order of communal fried cheese curds from the cafeteria (completely optional activity). Sending love from the bottom half of the stock class grid.

Driving at the limit of the tires grip is like walking on a tightrope. The slightest bit too much input in either direction will cause you to fall off. It’s a delicate yet intentional balance between your steering and pedal inputs that make or break the stability and speed into a corner.

There are times that coaching involves creating a habit of spacial awareness and keeping your eyes up. It’s common to have tunnel vision while driving at a fast pace. Remind yourself to always breathe, check your mirrors, and look ahead.

When coaching how to accelerate out of turns, the most common misconception is jumping on throttle as quickly and aggressively as possible on corner exit. Smoothness plays an important role in maximizing grip while balancing the weight when applying both your throttle and steering inputs.

When coaching how to brake before turns, there are many variables to consider outside of just pressing the brake pedal. The constant juggle between maximizing grip while balancing the weight plays an important role when applying both your steering and brake pedal inputs.

I was told King’s Canyon was a good place to escape the heat for a July birthday so a year later I shoved the homies into a CX-70 and turned 28 as one of my to-do tasks for the 86Cup offseason. At the other end of our campsite were perhaps some youth group of sorts full of young adults that seemed either 19 or 34 at the same time, all of which could not get off of (possibly) Pokemon Go until the wind violently picked up at 2am. Along the unlit pathway, the blue light of their phones illuminated their faces as they routinely walked toward our site’s tables up front- where I presumed the wifi perimeter was established. Every morning was greeted with a sharp but quickly muted AYOoo- or BROo-!!? in response to whatever it is they caught at 7am, 15 feet from my tent. Upon visiting their porto-potties after finding out ours was locked during the weekdays, I couldn’t help but think a wrestling match might have taken place in, under, and outside of those stalls, streaks of brown showing long battles only lost. taken in Kings Canyon National Park by @curvegoon
