I don’t make #utility #knives very often but I’m pretty proud of this one was a bunch of work and learning and took far longer than I would have liked 😂. Ni-Mai forge weld using a historic wrought Iron chain from a farm in Burringbar Northern NSW (bout 150yrs old) and some Damascus steel. I used the flux to tack weld the high carbon steel in place as I’ve seen some Japanese #bladesmiths do before, successfully forge welding . Heirloom fit scales of #ringedgidgee and #canvasmicarta show the unique texture of the wrought iron. Someone remind me never make domed pins from steel pin stock again it took for forever 😓😂. I just have to make a sheath for it and it’s all good to go to it’s new home 😅 #edc #artknife #forgewelding #blacksmithing #knifemaking #utilityknife #damascus #wroughtiron by @cvmma
