Bit of advice / warning about sharpening services‼️they are not all the same and some will charge you money to damage your knives 😓😭👎🏻. Please let me know what you think in the comments.

I was very shocked at how bad the “professional” Brisbane based service had abused these lovely tools.

For the best quality work please go see my friend Balazs at @japaneseknifestudio he is a true master of the craft. And anyone who owns one of my knives if you cover postage or get them to me somehow I will happily sharpen them free of charge.

@naturaledgemilling has some of the best Gidgee I’ve ever got my hands on thanks mate 🔥🙌. This little Yakitori maker will be available at my table at the @nsw_cutlers_expo in a couple of weeks time along with a bunch more stuff. I’m aiming to bring the loot with me this year🪎💎🔥.

- Blade is forged from Ayogami blue 2 steel
- Frame handle sculpted from black G10, and stunning Ringed Gidgee, with copper pins.

The most excellent @alex_wixted and I will be at the Mount Gravatt Show over Saturday and Sunday this weekend. We will be doing some forging demonstrations and I will have some of these Kitchen tools for sale Alex has been busy making the most exquisite forged gardening tools you could ever imagine and will have these for sale also. Come along have a chat, watch us swing some hammers, and purchase some heirloom objects for garden and kitchen.

Huge congrats to Josh O’Donoghue 🇮🇪 for taking the win—and the strap—last night at the Grow Strong MMA show in Warwick! He battled a hometown hero in the main event and became Corporate Box Valley’s first MMA title holder! 🥇

Bit of a cloudy ⛅️ Hamon on a cloudy 🌥️ day. Wish I had made sure there weren’t as many smudges on it 😂. I will repost this in the future it has some interesting clear red liners that shine the light through in a fun way. And the Gidgee wood is actually beautiful just not the best light quality to capture it.

Quick flyby of some recent work.
This one had a brief stint in Kyogle NSW regional gallery as part of a craft exhibition. The wrought iron cladding was dug out of a friends property down there and would date from 1850’s ish having arrived with some of the first colonial settlers in that area. Pure nickel layer to stop carbon migration and Sheffcut edge steel. Mind blowing bit of Ringed Gidgee from @naturaledgemilling and hand domed music wire pins.
