Mandala Sit Start v14
Didn’t see this one coming. Tried it a few times yesterday and realized it might be possible for me. Spent the day waiting for good temps with the crew, then warmed up and sent first go. My first of the grade, and it means a lot to feel progression in my climbing. Haven’t been super psyched on bouldering lately, but moments like these always remind me how fun it can be to try hard.

Thanks to the crew for the good vibes + hauling pads and @zachswright for letting me crash in his hotel room last night🙏

RIP in Peace v13
3rd go ☮️✌️

Had one of my most memorable bouldering experiences in a long time today. I meditated between each attempt on this one, and before I pulled on for my last try all I felt was gratitude to be able to spend time in such a beautiful location on a bluebird day before the storm rolls in. Topping out on my first hard-for-me boulder in almost a year felt surreal.

Afterwards, I met up with some friends to check out the Haunted Forest, where I was psyched to put down Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark v12 on my third try and flash Sorcery v11.

Very psyched to feel the boulder fitness returning, and stoked for the season🍁❄️

Throwback to my proudest chuff last year😮‍💨
Wasn’t prepared to top out but went for it anyway, then earned myself an 18 footer onto a rock in the bushes
Got some unfinished business here to address this season🫡

“There was a time when a day in the mountains only felt complete if I was climbing something hard.

Growing up skiing and hiking, big days in the mountains have always felt familiar, but in a climbing context, the approach was usually more of an inconvenience to be endured than an objective worth savoring in and of itself.

A recent finger injury was the perfect impetus to trade pulling hard for very sore legs and a deeper appreciation for the world of fast alpine ascents.

Partnering up with fellow ambassador (and far superior endurance athlete) Collin Wills was the perfect way to explore more of the High Sierra and tick a long-overdue summit of Mt. Whitney.“

Some of the best days in the mountains don’t come from pulling hard — they come from putting one foot in front of the other for hours on end. For regional ambassadors @ross.fulkerson and @cw.climbs, Whitney was a reminder of that, and a reminder of how good it is to share the effort with someone who pushes you to keep going.

Chronological May & early June - lots of time outside and relighting the alpine season fire💚🏔️
Some highlights: Snake Dike with dad @jessecwills (pre🔩🙄), High Gravity with Levi, Whitney, and a mini cal climbing leap reunion day. Also lots of setting to prep @teamtouchstone for Nationals!!

Incredibly grateful to be headed into my fourth year with @arcteryxcalifornia, now as a Regional Ambassador! It’s been an awesome few years and I’m thankful to have met some rad folks. Looking forward to seeing what this year has in store!

Some pics from over the years, starting with my first shoot with Arc in 2023!

Had a great time in Joshua tree while taking my Rock Guide Course through the @amga1979. I’ve been working towards this course for the past year or so, and it felt great to take it and learn so much alongside some awesome folks. Dusting off the trad climbing cobwebs has me stoked for alpine season 🔜🏔️ @arcteryxnorcal @touchstoneclimbing #amgaapprenticerockguide #joshuatree
