I’ve been filming bouldering since 2023. It was one of the first sports I first picked up a camera for.

Special shout-outs to @nilobatle and @dallasmilburn for the support over the years, and @brooklynuprising, @novaboulders, @mosaicboulders for the opportunities.

A fun part of photographing for Neon Gray was getting to document some of the East Bay’s classic buildering lines—not just the real rock. Among them, and probably the most famous, is the Doe Library Traverse on the UC Berkeley campus.

Known for its strange sequence of comp-style party tricks and its three simple rules:

• No climbing shoes
• No chalk
• No downpulling holds

While attending Berkeley, Colin eventually put the whole thing together. Don’t get it twisted—The Doe is no gimme. Board climbers quickly discover that their grip-‘n’-rip skill sets don’t mean much on the slick granite funk-ery of this East Bay institution.

Find these images and more in Neon Gray, my new East Bay bouldering photo book. Available through the link in my bio.

🟢 Neon Gray 🟡

I received a few sample proofs of Neon Gray, a photo book showcasing East Bay bouldering that I’ve recently finished, from the printer this past week, and I’m really excited about the quality. The pages are huge (9.5” x 13”), creating an immersive viewing experience that lets the images breathe in a way that feels true to the work.

Swipe to see a few selects from the book. There are 160 pages, so there’s a lot more to dig into.

The rest of the shipment should arrive in late May, and books will start shipping shortly after. Use the link in my bio to get a copy.

Throwback to @cw.climbs getting dragged into the Granite Arch side quest at the Blue Granite comp. We got shut down by the staff (understandably), but Ollie got in a few good goes too.
