Have you ever wondered what it would actually look like to become a fertility educator?

Maybe you can picture yourself sitting 1:1 with someone, helping them better understand their cycle.

Maybe it's bringing people together through workshops, sharing fertility education in your community or weaving this knowledge into the work you already do.

The beautiful thing about fertility education is that there isn't just one way to share it.

You might already have a vision for what you'd love to create. Or maybe you're still figuring out where your passion for menstrual cycles and fertility awareness could take you.

Both are wonderful places to begin.

Could you see yourself doing this work?
We'd love to hear what that might look like for you 👇

Our next NCF intake opens 1st December.

What if your interest in menstrual cycles could become something more? 👀

Maybe it started with wanting to understand your own body. Then came the books, podcasts, fertility charts and conversations with anyone who would listen.

Somewhere along the way, you started wondering what it would look like to share that knowledge with others.

Sound familiar?

There are so many different paths into fertility education and not everyone starts out knowing they want to become an educator.

Sometimes it begins with curiosity🩸

Curious about where this path could take you? Join the waitlist for our Natural Contraception & Fertility Awareness Educator Training and explore what becoming a fertility educator could look like for you.

Next cohort enrolments open 1st December.
Classes start 18th January, 2027.

And just like that, we’re into the our MCC Business Semester 👏

Module 14 landed this week and it feels like such a different chapter for our 2026 MCC cohort.

They’ve spent the past few months learning about the menstrual cycle, developing their coaching skills and learning how to support clients. Now, we’re starting to look at what they want to do with all of that.

And first up? Their vision.

Before we get into offers, pricing or marketing, we’re taking the time to work out what they actually want their coaching work to look like.

This week we explored:
✨ What they want to create as menstrual cycle coaches
✨ What success looks like for them personally
✨ The things that could get in the way
✨ Their non-negotiables and how they want to work
✨ Who they feel most drawn to support and where their niche might sit

This is one of my favourite parts of MCC because you start to see everyone’s individual path taking shape.

There’s no one version of what a menstrual cycle coach has to look like and that’s the exciting part.

What's one thing you know you're here to do but haven't fully stepped into yet? We'd love to hear it👇🏻 by @cyclical_school

We've been having the wrong fertility conversation.

Research shows a male factor is involved in around half of all fertility challenges and yet sperm health is still treated like an afterthought. (WHO, 2023)

When a couple is having difficulty conceiving, so much of the focus tends to land on the person with the uterus. Yet it's only half of conception.

Their cycle. Their hormones. Their age. What they’re eating. How stressed they are.

Meanwhile, sperm health can get far less attention, even though male factors are involved in a significant proportion of fertility challenges. Despite Sperm health has had huge declines over the past 50+ years.

There’s a lot that can influence sperm health too.

🌿 Nutrition
🌿 Heat exposure
🌿 Alcohol and smoking
🌿 Stress and sleep
🌿 Environmental exposures
🌿 Age
🌿 Underlying health conditions

Preconception care and intention absolutely needs to include both partners.

And for fertility educators, that means being able to have conversations about more than cycles and ovulation. It means understanding the bigger fertility picture and knowing how to support and educate both people where appropriate.

It’s something we explore inside NCF, including preconception care and supporting both partners.

Your cycle can tell you A LOT about your fertility when you actually know what you’re looking for.

Fertility awareness is about learning your own body’s fertile signs. And learning Fertility Awareness is not just for those looking to start or expand a family. It's also Natural Contraception too.

It teaches you your own;
🩸 Your cycle length and how it changes
🩸 Your basal body temperature, which can help confirm ovulations occurrence
🩸 Your cervical fluid and how it changes as and shows you where in your cycle you are
🩸 Ovulation predictor kits, which detect the LH surge that usually happens 1–2 days before ovulation

Learning this doesn't happen straight away. We recommend allowing around 3–6 months to really get familiar with your own fertility signs and patterns as they shift through the cycle and through your life too.

And if you’re wondering whether fertility awareness can actually be used as natural contraception, different methods are around 77–98% effective depending on the method and how consistently and correctly it’s used.

Which is exactly why proper education matters. Using them correctly can be up to 98% effective, WITHOUT the side effects hormonal contraception has.

Want to know where to start? We’ve put together a full beginner’s guide to using your menstrual cycle as a tool for family planning. Head to the link in our bio to read it🩸

Want to go deeper and learn how to educate others on this topic, our Natural Contraception & Fertility Awareness Educator Training opens for enrolment on December 1st.
Course begins 18th January 2027.

Every semester of the MCC ends the same way

We put down the curriculum and just... talk.

Our 2026 cohort gathered for their Semester 2 Q&A this month, a dedicated space to bring every question, every curiosity and every “wait, I need to come back to that” moment that had been building across the coaching semester.

And as always, the questions blew us away.

This is genuinely one of our favourite sessions of each semester, the Q&A. I love what the questions reveal. How deeply this cohort has been sitting with the material. How seriously they’re thinking about their future clients. How committed they are to doing this work well and doing it right.

There’s something really special about a room full of coaches who care that much.

Today is World Menopause Day 🍂

And we want to talk about it a little differently.

In our culture, menopause is still mostly treated as a medical problem to be managed. A loss. An ending. Something to get through.

But what if it's actually one of the most powerful transitions of a menstruator's life?

In the cyclical framework we teach here at Cyclical School, menopause marks the beginning of what's known as the Maga phase. The inner autumn of life. The harvest season. The time when decades of experience, wisdom and a deep knowing of yourself finally get to take centre stage.

The word Maga, the female version of the males Magoose, stemming from the same root as magic. There's something genuinely magical about this season.

The Maga's superpower is discernment. Seeing through what no longer serves them. Protecting their energy. Finally saying the things they've been holding back on.

Did you know that the premenstrual phase that our culture dismisses as PMS? The heightened sensitivity, the lower tolerance, the urge to say no? That's actually a cycle visit from your inner Maga. She's been showing up your entire cycling life. Practicing. Preparing. Waiting.

Menopause isn't the end of your cycle of wisdom. It's when you finally get to further embody it, transition and rebirth yourself.

To every woman in her Maga season, this is not a closing, this is an opening 🍂

We wrote a full blog on the Maga archetype and what inner autumn energy actually looks like, Comment BLOG to get it. by @cyclical_school

Your period isn’t “late”, it all happens in divine time... however knowing why it's not arriving when you're expecting it to is the missing piece.

Our menstrual arrival is dictated by a couple of other important events and hormones. Starting with Ovulation.
When ovulation is delayed, most of the time menstruation will too be delayed.

And this is exactly why learning to read your body is so important.

We see it all the time. Stress, a big deadline, difficult conversations, travel, illness or a week of barely sleeping can all influence when ovulation happens and when ovulation happens later, your bleed will most likely arrive later too.

This is one of the things that surprises people most when they start actually learning about their cycle.

Your body doesn't operate in na eat 28-day window that resets cleanly at the arrival of your menstrual bleed. Instead, it responds to your life. This is why a "late period" doesn't always mean what people assume it means. It might just mean ovulation was delayed and which often means something in your life and environment has asked too much of your nervous system in the cycle phases leading up to ovulation.

Here's what's actually happening in the body. Stress activates the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, the HPA axis which is your body's stress response system. When cortisol rises, it suppresses GnRH, the hormone that starts the cascade of events needed for ovulation. Without that signal firing properly, the LH surge that releases an egg gets delayed or doesn't happen at all. Research published in Human Reproduction found that women with the highest physiological stress markers took 29% longer to conceive than those with lower stress levels. Studies have also shown that high psychological stress can delay ovulation by anywhere from 2 to 7 days in a single cycle.

Your body is essentially saying: now is not the time.

This is how incredibly intelligent your body is 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻

How do you practise cyclical living in everyday life?

We think it looks so different for everyone and we love hearing about the small, real ways people actually do it.

For some it's tracking. For others it's just noticing that they always crash the week before their period and finally doing something about it instead of pushing through. For some it's planning their week differently. For others it's simply giving themselves permission to rest without having to earn it first.

That’s really what cyclical living is about. Getting to know your own rhythms, noticing what changes throughout your cycle and working with your body where you can.

So what does cyclical living look like for you? Drop it below 👇 by @cyclical_school

Oestrogen is rising. Your brain is sharper. Your energy is building. Your body is moving towards ovulation.

Welcome to your inner spring 🌸

The phase between your period ending and ovulation.

Here's what's happening hormonally:

🌱 Oestrogen rises steadily, boosting mood, motivation and cognitive function
🌱 FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) signals your ovaries to mature a follicle
🌱 Energy increases gradually, your body is building toward its peak
🌱 Cervical fluid begins to appear and change, your body's first sign that ovulation is approaching
🌱 Libido starts to rise
🌱 Social energy returns, you want to connect, create, communicate

If there's something you've been sitting on, an idea, a conversation, a decision, this is the phase to move on it.

Your body is quite literally on your side right now.

Save this for your next Inner Spring. by @cyclical_school
