A participatory performance centered on a sculpted piece of ice, exploring the beauty and fragility of glaciers, environmental loss, and transformation. Using ice as both a symbol of the climate crisis and a medium of erasure and change, Peerna invites the audience to reflect on our relationship with the natural world.

The performance unfolds in dialogue with her installation Cold Love Yerevan.

Jaanika Peerna is an Estonian-born artist based in New York and Lisbon. Working across drawing, installation, and performance, she explores natural phenomena, environmental change, and the interconnectedness of all life.

A new collaborative performance bringing together contemporary dance, live music, and a Unitree G1 EDU humanoid robot.

Following the robot’s gestures and choreography, the dancers extend, reinterpret, and transform its movements, turning algorithm into living action. Rather than opposing human and machine, Embodied Dialogues brings them together as equal participants in a shared process of transformation.

Tu tun ձայնային պերֆորմանսի ընթացքում Դիեգո Լիեդոն հավաքում և լարում է ուկուլելեի մեջ տեղադրված իր իսկ ստեղծած էլեկտրոնային երաժշտական գործիքը։ Յուրաքանչյուր հպում, թրթռում և շարժում իրական ժամանակում վերափոխվում է ձայնի՝ գործիքի ստեղծման գործընթացն ինքնին դարձնելով երաժշտական ստեղծագործություն։ Պերֆորմանսը բացահայտում է լռությունից դեպի հնչողություն անցումը՝ միավորելով ակուստիկ և էլեկտրոնային հնչյունները։

Դիեգո Լիեդոն մեքսիկացի արվեստագետ, էլեկտրոնային երաժշտական գործիքների նախագծող և ծրագրավորող է։ Նա համադրում է փայտամշակումը, էլեկտրոնիկան և ձայնի սինթեզը՝ օգտագործելով վերամշակված նյութեր և բաց կոդով տեխնոլոգիաներ։

Tu tun is a sound art performance in which Diego Liedo assembles, strings, and tunes a custom-built electronic instrument housed inside a ukulele. Every touch, vibration, and gesture is transformed through real-time sound processing, turning the construction and tuning process itself into a musical composition. The performance explores the transition from silence to resonance, merging acoustic gestures with electronic sound.

Diego Liedo is a Mexican artist, electronic instrument designer, and programmer. Combining woodworking, electronics, and sound synthesis, he creates custom instruments using recycled materials and open-source technologies.

Տասը մեխանիկական մետրոնոմներ, որոնցից յուրաքանչյուրը գործում է տարբեր տեմպով, ստեղծում են անընդհատ փոփոխվող ռիթմիկ միջավայր։ Զսպանակների աստիճանական թուլացման հետ ռիթմերը շեղվում են, փոխազդում և ի վերջո մարում։ Ուղղորդված խոսափողի միջոցով կատարողը իրական ժամանակում ընտրում է հնչյունները, իսկ կոմպոզիտորը դրանց արձագանքում է էլեկտրոնային ձայնային շերտով։ Ստեղծագործությունն ավարտվում է այն պահին, երբ մեխանիզմները կանգ են առնում։

Շարունակելով միջատների ակուստիկ հաղորդակցության ուսումնասիրությունը՝ Ռոբերտ Շվարցը կենտրոնանում է ցիկադների ձայնարտադրության վրա։ Դաշտային ձայնագրությունները համադրվում են միջատների ձայների փորձարարական էլեկտրոնային վերաստեղծման հետ՝ մշտապես փոփոխելով բնականի և սինթետիկի սահմանը և ստեղծելով բազմաշերտ լսողական միջավայր։

Ten mechanical metronomes, each set to a different tempo, create an evolving rhythmic environment. As their mechanisms gradually unwind, the rhythms drift, interact, and eventually fade. Using a directional microphone, the performer selects sounds in real time, while the composer responds with a live electronic layer. The piece ends when the mechanisms themselves come to a stop.

Continuing his exploration of acoustic communication in insects, Robert Schwarz focuses on the sound production of cicadas. CYFEST 17-ի բացման ծրագրի շրջանակում Ֆրանչեսկո Կավալիերեն ներկայացրեց Cubiche Creature All’orizzonte! ձայնային պերֆորմանսը՝ երկխոսություն երկու էակների միջև, որոնցից մեկը երևակայական է։ Ձայնը դառնում է միակ լեզուն, որի միջոցով նրանք կարողանում են հասկանալ միմյանց։

Քննարկումը նվիրված էր ժամանակակից մեդիաարվեստի և 20-րդ դարի սկզբի ավանգարդի Օրգանական դպրոցի գաղափարական կապերին՝ անդրադառնալով բնության, ընկալման, մարմնականության և տեխնոլոգիաների փոխհարաբերություններին։

1912–1915 թվականներին ձևավորված Օրգանական դպրոցը արվեստն ու աշխարհը դիտարկում էր որպես փոխկապակցված կենդանի համակարգ։ Քննարկման մասնակիցներն ուսումնասիրեցին, թե ինչպես են այդ գաղափարներն արձագանք գտնում ժամանակակից արվեստում՝ թվային տեխնոլոգիաների, արհեստական բանականության, կենսաբանական համակարգերի և ինտերակտիվ միջավայրերի համատեքստում։

Moderator: Dr. Marine Karoyan

The roundtable explored the connections between contemporary media art and the historical legacy of the Organic School of the avant-garde, focusing on nature, perception, embodiment, and technological mediation.

Emerging between 1912 and 1915 through the work of Kazimir Malevich, Pavel Filonov, Mikhail Matyushin, and their circles, the Organic School envisioned art and perception as part of an interconnected living system.

The discussion examined how these early experiments resonate with contemporary artistic practices shaped by digital technologies, artificial intelligence, biological systems, and interactive environments.

Digital Safari: Fables of the Jungle աշխատանքում AES+F-ը հղում է կատարում կենդանիների գլուխներով մարդկանց պատկերելու ավանդույթին՝ հին եգիպտական աստվածություններից մինչև քաղաքական ծաղրանկարներ։

Վեց մարդ-կենդանի հիբրիդներ՝ Յագուարը, Բորենին, Անգղը, Վագրը, Գայլը և Մանուլը, դառնում են սոցիալական մեդիայի վարքագծի կերպարներ։ Թվային պատկերներով հագեցած արևադարձային անտառում նրանք հետևում են միմյանց և դիտողին, իսկ գիշատիչներն ու զոհերը երբեմն փոխվում են դերերով։
Մոցարտի Lacrimosa-ն՝ Վլադիմիր Ռաննևի վերաիմաստավորմամբ, ուղեկցում է այս շլացուցիչ ու վտանգավոր աշխարհը՝ անդրադառնալով իշխանությանը, էկոլոգիական տագնապին և թվային տեսարանի գայթակղությանը։

AES+F — Digital Safari: Fables of the Jungle

In Digital Safari: Fables of the Jungle, AES+F draws on the tradition of portraying humans with animal heads, from ancient Egyptian deities to political caricature.

Six animal-human hybrids—Jaguar, Hyena, Vulture, Tiger, Wolf, and Pallas’s Cat—become avatars of contemporary social-media behavior. Moving through a digitally saturated rainforest, they watch one another and the viewer, as predators and prey occasionally exchange roles.
Mozart’s Lacrimosa, reimagined by Vladimir Rannev as a mechanical music box, accompanies this dazzling yet dangerous world, exploring power, ecological anxiety, and the seductions of digital spectacle.

Fragment of the performance Bridge IT-MX 7’09”
Soundscape with non-edited sounds 10’00”

The performance Bridge IT-MX constructs a sonic bridge between Mexico City and Venice by braiding together their distinct field recordings. Using immersive Ambisonics audio, the piece manipulates these soundscapes in real time, dynamically playing with perceptions of space and environment. This foundation is then layered with rich synthetic textures and sequenced patterns, generated through a synthesizer and processed with loopers and digital effects.

Technical notes: A-Side is the recording where the soundscape is blended with a keyboard performance. B-Side is a set of fragments of the Ambisonics recordings without modification simulating a sound walking. Both works are binaural renders.
