This was a very special trip for us. It was our first big Mama&Bebe trip, and Bea’s first time in Mexico too! She loved it! We never wasted any time—always explorin’!
We got to reunite with our friends @nicoarancibiatattoos and @amapola.malahierba , and got to meet their new precious guagua 👶🏻❤️

Bea and I were hoping to get tickets to @oliviarodrigo ‘s @daisychainfields festival today, but it was sold out. Spent the afternoon hosting a checkpoint for @rubthynip_ ‘s 8th Dinkatt, the largest alleycat in San Diego. I gave each racer a challenge: perform a song from one of the artists from the Daisy Chain Fields fest line up. My checkpoint was the fourth stop on the map, and everyone was feeling the heat. They did so great!! by @cynth_lord

It started with an impulsive purchase of a couple tickets to a Death Cab for Cutie & Japanese Breakfast show in Philly. @duncanh2o agreed to come and we turned it into a northeast bike tour.

This trip could not have been possible without the cycling community. I messaged a couple people in the east coast cycling community if they could help us out. These people were strangers, and so kind to coordinate with us. Duncan and I spent two days each in Philadelphia, New York, and Boston, and in those two short days, we were able to accomplish visiting places by bike, which would amount to a week if we were traveling in a car (parking and traffic are big issues in these cities). I am so grateful that people were so eager to help. We did so much in one week.

Big thank you to @klaka_klaka_reclaim for reaching out to @tugging_huesday , who lent me her bike— and reaching out to the Philly bike community, where @shut_thezuck_up connected with us and lent his bike to Duncan. Thank you to @times_up_nyc and @bikecoopnyc for staying in touch, and @alexanderbenjamn lending personal bike. Friggin @carloseliz0ndo — we know you’re busy with @bicyclefilmfestival , so thank you for letting us borrow your bike from your shop. And @somervillebikekitchen big thanks to Ace and Alex for coordinating and welcoming us into your space. My inbox was full of people like my friends contacting their friends, and those friends reaching out to me just trying to help. My heart is full. Everything was magical ✨

And to Duncan, thank you for adventuring with me everywhere, even during the most challenging times in the pouring rain and under smoky skies. Love you, UpDawg.

Happy 11th birthday to this lovely, super hilarious kid. Bea, Bebe, Beatrice, Tiny B, Wiggler B….she will always be my baby.

Bike!Bike! Oakland was an incredible experience. We traveled north to join the regional bike co-op conference, organized by a coalition of East Bay bicycle collectives. Over four days, @bikebikeoakland brought together workshops, discussions, and group rides across the city, creating space for collaboration and shared learning. Gatherings like these are vital to the strength of bike co-ops—they foster meaningful connections, highlight the diverse structures and approaches of different organizations, and deepen collective advocacy for safer streets and more equitable cycling infrastructure.
Our favorite part of this trip was the warm connections made with other like-minded people who believe in a better world, and the memories made with them. We were thrilled to reunite with past participants from Bike!Bike! CDMX.

A big thank you to @jestjuly and friends for organizing over the few months to make Bike!Bike! Oakland happen. We are inspired and looking forward to bringing new ideas and projects to San Diego! And a special thank you to our host Kevin for welcoming us to his home.

May 1, 2026 marks 20 years since the May Day student walkouts demanding ICE out of their schools and communities. And here we are at it again.

Huge shout out to the coalition of community orgs for coming together to organize a powerful May Day march. Big shoutout to the @uniondelbarrio team for keeping us safe and inviting us to do bike patrol. Everyone did a great job. 👏🏽 by @cynth_lord
