Backlash EP
Released Dec 2024 - UKR (on all streaming platforms + bandcamp - links in my bio)
 AH the joy the distance - when you can appreciate something you’ve made without any sense of ownership or self-criticism.
 This EP was formed while I was very sick with one of the worst flus I have ever had (excluding COVID). Nearly entirely created over a month while sitting (or lying) on the couch with laptop and headphones.
It was my take on a kind of techno and house that I always wanted, but seemed rare to find. Thunderous low-end, minimal, locked (ish) grooves built around fat dub chords - a hint of house sensibility but with an ecstasy-fuelled drive at the tempo I loved to dance to.  
I get the feeling that not many people have listened to, or DJ’d, this EP. It fell through the cracks, as not really being one thing or another - too fast for a house set, too housey for a techno set. Relistening to it, with more objective ears - it does hold its own and still feels like its own thing - successful in what it was trying to do, but at the cost of not really being part of the meta of the time. Part of me wants to go back and remaster it, pull up the elements I was a bit meek with, but I doubt that’ll happen - as it stands it is a nice entry in where I was at musically 2 years ago and these all still kick it on the dancefloor.   GIve it a hoon? by @cyxqrd

After a packed night at Pōneke’s newest club, we’re stepping back in on June 6 — bringing another late-night sweaty cardio session to the capital.
This time, we link with Breakaway to deliver a double headliner lineup and an audiovisual experience.
-
We’re proud to bring Valerie Ace as part of her NZ run.
A driving force out of Berlin, with releases on Intrepid Skin, Haven, and KAOS, and appearances at Tresor Berlin, RSO Berlin, and Fold London.
Followed by NZ’s techno don and HAVEN owner Keepsakes, known for his heavy hitting and eclectic sounds.

Local support from CYXQRD and PUR owner Flipit on a b2b to ease into the heavy session.

We’ve put together a local lineup to take over one of the newest venues in town, powered by a custom-built Third Eye HiFi sound system.

Capacity is strictly limited. If you have booked a ticket, your spot will be held until midnight. After this, any no-shows will be released on a first-come basis. If you did not secure a ticket, try after 12:00.

Koha is $20 CASH on the door.

The front door will be locked at 2:00am, If you want to come in after that time - DM on Instagram @cyxqrd for the door code.

If you leave the venue for the night, please let the door person know for capacity reasons - one in, one out.

_NOISE______________________

113 venue is on an 8 days noise control notice for audio system confiscation. This is mainly due to people being noisy on the balcony. For a good and long night of techno please use the balcony only for vaping/smoking, keep the door shut and outside noise to a minimum. Let’s not have a visit from the fun police. 
_GENERAL HOUSE KEEPING______________________

Keep the toilets free for toileting. Do your *stuff* anywhere else in the whare - ask at the door.

This is a safe, non-judgmental space, although any anti-social behaviour or abuse will not be tolerated.

Smoke and vape outside - the smoke detectors are very sensitive and If the alarms go off, it is very expensive, very boring, and will consume all the koha and love, leaving none for our wonderful artists.

Please remember this is someone’s home. Look after it and treat it with respect - it is also our home for the night. Don’t enter areas you’re not sure about. Don’t be a dick.
