Designing the life I love👇🏻
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Another work week done and dusted, and I’m looking forward to the weekend.

A gentle reminder for you—and for myself—that we all need people in our lives who bring kindness, compassion, and a sense of peace. People who create a space where we feel safe enough to let our armour down, be vulnerable, and share our doubts, fears, and struggles without fear of judgment.

Those connections are rare, but they’re worth holding onto. They remind us that we don’t always have to be strong, and that sometimes simply being seen, heard, and accepted is enough.

As a young immigrant, this story resonated with me deeply. A few years ago, a young professional from a third-world country made the life-changing decision to pursue a postgraduate degree abroad. At the time, she did not have the financial means to make that dream possible, but through determination and a bit of luck, she was awarded a scholarship that opened the door to an entirely new chapter of her life.

It was her first time living overseas, in a country she had never even visited before. Everything felt unfamiliar — the culture, the language, the weather, the people, and even the simplest daily routines. She had to learn how to navigate life on her own while carrying the weight of uncertainty and the pressure of succeeding far from home. There were moments of loneliness, self-doubt, and fear, especially during the early days when everything seemed overwhelming.

Yet despite those challenges, she slowly found her footing. She adapted to the new environment, built meaningful connections, and learned to embrace discomfort as part of growth. What once felt intimidating gradually became familiar. Over time, she not only managed to survive in a foreign land but truly thrived in it. The experience shaped her into someone more resilient, independent, and confident than she had ever imagined she could be.

Keeping it short today. It’s my first day at work—definitely an information overload—but I’m grateful for the opportunity to be here and do what I do.

I’m embracing new beginnings, staying calm amid uncertainty, and accepting where I am in this season of life. The weather isn’t helping much either; temperatures are dropping, and Melbourne has welcomed winter with rain and wind.

For now, I’m keeping my head above water as I navigate this new chapter. I’ll keep you posted.

I can be tired. Most days, my legs are sore, my upper body is aching, and I’m carrying the weight of life while trying to become a better version of myself. But I cannot imagine a life where movement isn’t part of it.

For the past 10 years, cycling, running, and strength training have been constants in my life. They’ve taught me that growth often asks something of us. It asks us to show up when we’re tired, to embrace discomfort, and to keep going when the person we are today is being challenged by the person we hope to become.

It’s a privilege to have a body that allows me to move, to challenge, and to explore its capabilities. To train not just for who I am today, but for who I have yet to become. To prepare my body for the changes it will go through, and to meet those changes with strength, resilience, and intention.

Because perhaps that’s the beauty of it all: we don’t just do hard things with the bodies and minds we have today. We do them to build the bodies, minds, and versions of ourselves we haven’t met yet.

The fatigue is temporary. The soreness will pass. But the person I become through the process stays with me.

I’m on a mission to visit a different café every Wednesday—come find Melbourne’s hidden gems with me 💎 (and within a 15min walk from my office!)

I refuse to let another workweek pass without trying something new.

📍Kyoto Matcha (Town Hall Station, Shop 901-77 Level/B1 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC 3000)
@kyotomatchaofficial

What I ordered: Iced Matcha with oat milk and red bean💚💯 recommend!

New matcha spot alert 👀🍵 Tucked away underground in the heart of the city’s newest rail hub, Town Hall Station!

With a menu featuring everything from traditional whisked matcha to creative matcha drinks, I knew I was in for a treat.

I went for the iced matcha with red bean, and it did not disappoint! The sweetness of the red bean beautifully complements the earthy matcha flavour, while adding a lovely bite to every sip. Such a delicious combination! 💚

I’ll definitely be back. Hopefully, the weather will be hot and sunny on my next visit — the perfect excuse to enjoy another ice-cold matcha! ☀️🧊

Wondering where should I go next? 🤔

The past few weeks have been challenging, and I expect the last three months of 2026 to be just as demanding.

I’m working on getting stronger in the gym, improving my aerobic capacity through high-intensity intervals, and building my endurance as a runner. All of this while juggling a 9–5 job (I’ve just started a new role and am learning so much 🙈), the never-ending list of adulting errands that somehow fills both my weekdays and weekends, and—oh, did I mention?—my almost non-existent social life because I’m terrible at keeping up with friends. 🥲

Some days, it feels like a lot to navigate. But I keep reminding myself that I’m in the process, in the journey of becoming. I’m learning, growing, and figuring things out along the way. It’s not always easy to balance everything, and I don’t always get it right, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Discomfort is the price of growth, and I’m learning to embrace it. Here’s to showing up, even when it’s hard. 🤍

I refuse to let another workweek pass without trying something new.

📍Hareruya Pantry CBD (27 Somerset Pl, Melbourne VIC 3000)
@hareruyapantry

What I ordered: Mikan Ginger 🫚 gelato with Monako shell and Iced oat matcha latte 💚💯 recommend!

Hareruya Pantry is a Japanese dessert place tucked away in Melbourne’s Somerset Place, known for its creative Japanese-inspired gelatos and traditional treats.

Walking along Elizabeth St before turning onto Little Bourke, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I felt transported from the hecticness of the CBD into this cozy, calm little sanctuary. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, settle in, and enjoy a scoop (or two!) of their gelato — perhaps with a drink on the side — especially on a sunny weekday. ☀️

A little review of the new cafes I tried this month ☕️🤎

Save this reel for the next time you’re looking for a new cafe to try in the CBD ✨

As someone who loves her routine and tends to stick to her usual go-to spots around the city, trying new cafes has been such a refreshing change. It feels so good to step out of my usual routine, discover new places, and find more and more little gems around the city ✨

A bit of a hiccup in my training routine lately, so I’m taking a step back and giving my body the time it needs to recover.
I’m still doing what I can, but for now I’m reducing the high-intensity workouts and focusing more on strength training.

Unexpected things happen, and sometimes they’re a reminder to slow down a little. The drive is still there. The goal hasn’t changed. But sometimes, the tunnel needs to widen so you can gain a little more perspective.

Take a bit more rest. Listen a little more closely to what your body is telling you. Progress isn’t always about pushing harder — sometimes it’s about knowing when to ease off, recover, and keep moving forward.

📍 Umee Cafe (585 Little Collins St, Melbourne)
@umeecafe.melb

What I ordered: Earl Grey Blend 💚 with oat milk 💯 recommend!

Umee Cafe is a Vietnamese specialty coffee spot tucked away in a charming, character-filled building along Little Collins Street. The interior is warm and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere and plenty of cute, thoughtful details throughout. They serve coffee made with Melbourne staple St Ali beans, but the real draw is their creative menu of Vietnamese-inspired drinks, which puts a unique spin on familiar flavours.

Started running again, and I’m absolutely aware of what took me so long to get back to it.

Excuses. So many of them.
“Cold weather.”
“Not feeling like going outside.”
“It’s going to be challenging again as a beginner… again.”
“I already do functional training and cardio sessions, so why do I need to run?”
The list goes on.

But the truth is: don’t overthink it. Just show up.

The days you don’t feel like doing it are the days that count the most. Because that’s when motivation runs out, and discipline has to take over.

You don’t always need to feel ready. You just need to start.

Life will always bring you into situations that are far outside your comfort zone. Before a single thought can settle in, self-doubt and fear often take the lead.

Sometimes, we need to remind ourselves that the fear of losing is simply the price we pay for the possibility of winning.

At some point, you have to bet on yourself. Take the risk. Trust yourself, trust the process, and trust the journey. Because you can’t win if you never put yourself in the game.

And if it doesn’t work out, you’ll still walk away as a different version of yourself—stronger, wiser, and more capable than the person who took that first step.

But if it does work out? It will be 💯 worth it.
So take the first step. Take the chance. Bet on yourself.

Because how can you win if you never put yourself in the game in the first place?
