My track “Venefica” just got premiered via @mixmag and is now out exclusively on Bandcamp and vinyl (!!) via @gimic.radio 🫀 Happy release to all the artists on this V.A and team GIMIC for this first project. Stoked to have been entrusted with this one and have my music out in the physical 🙂‍↕️💿

been thinking a lot about the different possibilities within mcing and vox on bass and more specifically dubstep and how we can play around with some of the codes that come with it

the angels and i went to @rinsefrance last week where Esmée aka MC Kilonda premiered her mcing on our 140 leaning sets and i really enjoyed being called a dangerous bitch (on one of the slides) so here we go 🔐

a little bit of what i’ve been up to beyond the DJ booth starting with yesterday’s first workshop of a series i’ve been working on with @ableton and @openground.club 💻🎧🔊

with @femmebassmafia we hosted another sound system build and panel with @orokoradio and @addias__de, a rundown workshop on how we did that for Dub & Dal, then Carré hosted a session on how to make a bootleg at Paris Electronic Week where I also contributed to a panel chat with a great crew 🎀

Creative Process & Sonic Storytelling in Ableton Live

Workshop with Piccell (Barulho World)

In this artist-led workshop, Piccell offers an insight into his creative process, sharing the workflows and techniques behind his productions in Ableton Live. Through live demonstrations, he will explore his approach to composition, arrangement and sound design, showing how ideas evolve into finished tracks.

The session focuses on developing a personal creative practice through experimentation, intuition and sonic storytelling, while offering practical tools that participants can apply to their own music-making.

We will also have a couple of Ableton Move there for participants to try.

How much i’ll miss my dad… The past 3 weeks were the most difficult ones of our lives yet he was surrounded by so much love till the end.

What a joy to have had him as a dad, mijn lieve papa. He was living generously and with intensity, always a bit against the stream. He’d share his love for the bass and leather biker boots, the sound of a beautiful engine, fresh snow or sitting on a terrace on a sunny day.
We called many places home which, looking back, shaped us in many beautiful ways. We’d race through Paris while he drove me to school on his Harley, cause i was obviously late. He’d get so pissed but also secretly enjoyed this ritual i think. We went on so many adventures together. So many jokes and pranks. He was a great mentor and he held our hands at every step in life. He was supportive of literally anything we’d do my little brother and i, especially music related.
Such a proud papa. He’d show my dj snippets to his colleagues, I snooped into his playlists last week and found the few tracks to my name perfectly saved up. of course…

Back in March we went on our what became our last dad-daughter trip and i was telling my friends that he is such a girl dad, we’d rock the world together as a dangerous Sagittarius duo, as always managing the chaos of our impulsive selves. I’m so glad we went.

The first pic was taken in paris at our favourite restaurant - we’d go almost every weekend. That night Alex @alexander.durie was there too and captured my dad’s wild soul - he was the one who taught him how to roll ciggies when we were super under age, listening to punk rock or bassy jazz, 12min long Brecker Brothers tracks, to the stones or his new order original pressings from the 80s for the trillionth time.
