Just 10% of the school year down, and the GROWTH we are already seeing is tremendous!

Mr. Ruffner is not the easiest. 😂 There have been some whines, some cries, lots of repetition, and plenty of “try again!” But the data is speaking for itself!

In just the first 10% of our school year, we are learning and identifying letters, building our letter-sound knowledge, communicating more, following directions, becoming more independent, and growing every single day. One of my favorite accomplishments: 100% of our class can now wave hello! Something that may seem small to others can represent HUGE growth for us.

I tell my students all the time: I know you can do it, so I’m going to keep expecting you to try. We celebrate every step toward independence because every step matters.

A huge shout-out to our amazing families! Thank you for trusting us, supporting what we are doing in the classroom, and continuing the work at home. This progress belongs to all of us.

And a very special shout-out to Principal Nee for the incredible work he has done at Scotchtown Hills. The positive changes, leadership, and commitment to our students and families can truly be felt throughout the school. 🌟

Back-to-School Night was such a beautiful reminder that it takes teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and families working together to help our children thrive. Amazing job Scotchtown❤️✊🏾 by @d.roughrealtv

Working with Ms. Higgs, Mr. Sam, and Ms. Jackson is truly like working with family. Ms. Higgs (The 2nd Grade Queen 👸🏾) wears a different tiara EVERYDAY like Mr. Ruffner who wears a different hat each day.. with a different personality🤠🥲🤣you can tell when a teacher has found their true identity in Christ ✊🏾❤️ taken in Scotchtown Hills Elementary by @d.roughrealtv

I usually don’t post during the week. But I am so empowered and encouraged that I felt I needed to post today!

Look at us—building something really special here at Scotchtown Hills. It takes a serious amount of heart, energy, and relentless effort to keep a school running with this kind of positive momentum, but you: The staff - are making it happen EVERYDAY.

Your students are thriving, and your parents are engaged. That doesn’t happen by accident; it happens because of thoughtful intentionality!!

Great job, SHES staff!!

PS: PLEASE help us welcome back Ms. DeLoatch!! We are so excited to have her back! 🎉🎉🎉 taken in Scotchtown Hills Elementary by @d.roughrealtv

I’m so excited to share that this school year I’ll be joining Scotchtown Hills Elementary School, where I’ll be teaching Kindergarten Autism! 💙🧩

After 12 years of teaching, I’ve taught just about everything from Kindergarten through 5th grade… except KINDERGARTEN! 😂 Well, I guess it’s finally my turn! 🍎✏️

As I start this new chapter at a new school, I’m building my classroom and could really use your support. I created an Amazon Classroom Wishlist with items that will help me create a fun, welcoming, organized, and supportive learning environment for my new kindergarteners. 🌻📚🖍️

If you’re able to purchase anything from my wishlist, big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. ❤️ When you support my classroom, you’re not only supporting me—you’re supporting my students, their learning, and their future. 🌱

And if you can’t purchase anything, simply sharing this post would mean just as much!

Thank you all for supporting me as I begin this exciting new adventure. Here’s to a wonderful year at Scotchtown Hills! 🥹🍎💙

Today I had a World Class Onboarding Experience! With Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) I will grow faster than a Washingtonia Robusta (Mexican Fan Palm)🌴! Here are just some amazing quotes I heard today from some amazing people 🥲”Give yourself permission to grow.” -Dr. Dana Edwards “Always continue to develop professional growth!” Ms. Clara Allsup(PGCPS Teacher of the year). “You are joining a district that is truly committed to YOU and YOUR LEARNING.” -Dr. Deann Collin’s PGCPS Chief of Staff. I love PG! taken in Greenbelt, Maryland by @d.roughrealtv

Satan (the enemy) is not dumb, he knows who to attack. He loves more than ever to destroy relationships. It’s in his job description. He knows that Gay Couples are vulnerable, because these individuals have been told throughout their ENTIRE lives that God Or Religion is not for them. You are more likely to lean to your OWN understanding when you constantly think “God isn’t working with me and my marriage, therefore I must cheat or leave my partner because God doesn’t really acknowledge our relationship.” As LGBTQIA individuals it is more important that we STAY in God’s Word to expel these lies and myths and to experience a fulfilling and loving relationship that is rooted and grounded in our gracious and amazing God who supplies ALL NEEDS.#JesusLovesYou #ComeToChrist #GodIsLove #FaithJourney #RelationshipWithGod by @d.roughrealtv
