Another great day!

@title1_pgcps Director, Natasha Fludd and @pgcpsk5math Supervisor, Joneida Nelson-Generette, paid us a visit today! We were very happy to host :)

Today was “Code Orange” Heat Index between 90-100 degrees! All activities had to be in doors. Hence Mr. Nee’s orange outfit :)

Our teachers and staff are always photo ready!! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

I usually don’t post during the week. But I am so empowered and encouraged that I felt I needed to post today!

Look at us—building something really special here at Scotchtown Hills. It takes a serious amount of heart, energy, and relentless effort to keep a school running with this kind of positive momentum, but you: The staff - are making it happen EVERYDAY.

Your students are thriving, and your parents are engaged. That doesn’t happen by accident; it happens because of thoughtful intentionality!!

Great job, SHES staff!!

PS: PLEASE help us welcome back Ms. DeLoatch!! We are so excited to have her back! 🎉🎉🎉

What an incredible, paw-some first week of school! Walking through the hallways, seeing bright smiles, and watching our students diving into learning has filled our hearts with immense gratitude. It’s official: our Scotties are off to a terrier-ific start!

To our dynamic, resilient teachers and staff: thank you for going above and beyond to prepare your classrooms and welcome every child with open arms!

A Friendly Dismissal Reminder:
Our official dismissal time is 1:45 PM. When students are picked up late, it directly cuts into our teachers’ required planning time for the next school day. Please help us support and protect our hard-working staff by ensuring your children are picked up promptly at 1:45 PM.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Scotties safe and running on schedule!

A special high-five and tail wag goes out to all of our amazing district partners who stopped by to support us this week! Your presence, encouragement, and dedication to our school helped make our opening days extra bright—we are so grateful to have you in our pack and tribe!

Thank you for making our school community so special. Have a paws-itively (Positively) wonderful weekend, and rest up—we can’t wait to see everyone back on Monday!

PS: In the age of AI.. we crafted each of these photo collages the old fashioned way. No Artificial Intelligence! Enjoy!!

To our wonderful families: thank you for trusting us with your kids, getting them here ready to learn new skills, and being the best community we could ask for. I am grateful to be the Principal at SHES EVERYDAY.

I’ve lived many lives in many cities, but this week marks 1 year in Los Angeles 🤍 It’s been a personal & collective echo of bell hooks’ message that love is a verb and not a noun. Feeling rooted & raging all at once, grateful & giddy for new beginnings, and just trying to make Merlot proud. 🙏 👸🏻🏙️🏔️🤍 #losangeles #cityofangels #MerlotsMom #californiadreaming

Official last day of 4th grade for Juliet! Her amazing English teacher, @d.roughrealtv, Mr. Ruffner, sent me a note that said: “Juliet has been such a blessing this year. I am going to miss her so much! Her personality is so beautiful! She is going to do amazing things in the future, be so proud of her❤️You all have an amazing safe summer!” I am so proud of her and I can’t say enough about him, he’s simply the best! Ok tears are flowing…❤️😭🙏🏽😎
