The other day, a new visitor to our house saw this photo and asked if this was my son. I was elated!!… he said they look Bad ass! I told him that was me when I was one year older than my son is today. He was embarrassed and I said not at all… I take it as a huge compliment! That kid there loved playing soccer and football with the guys, begged to play hockey but it wasn’t for girls so much back then… I loved singing, acting, dancing, art… was great at math and science and had an imagination no internet could take over. It was a time when I was trying new looks going through puberty and about to learn how to hide in my clothes for protection,as girls often find out quickly there’s so much sexploitation and inappropriate uninvited gazes while we’re growing up. I could go on here… but I gotta say my favourite is the double belt you can hardly see layered on my high fashion tennis outfit. She’s the daughter I never had and have learned to love and grow back inside me. I cannot believe the coincidences going on in my world… so many while I’m in NYC this week. Fun fact - every first Wednesday of November is take your kid to work day in Canada!! But last November my son took me to his work day(s)!!! So proud of you! ❤️🥳✨ Congrats to my son @zakmessinger !! It may seem suddenly overnight, but it’s been a lot of hard work and dedication to art, in collaboration with many people. What a phenomenal team you got to work with!!
