As much as I love introducing my friends to new wines, I also love when they, especially those who are not in the wine industry, return the favor. A friend of mine, who is a big fan of rosé, insisted I try a wine she had fallen in love with. I love a good rosé wine, but when she told me it was a Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon, I was intrigued. I typically gravitate toward rosés made with Rhône varieties, so this was not a style I would normally choose. But the label caught my eye, and she insisted I take a bottle home. And during the heat advisory this past week, I decided to open it with my favorite salad. From the first sip, I was won over, which is why the @kanpaiwines Kanpai Wines Hi No Tori Rosé of Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is the Please The Palate Wine of the Week. Wow NYC you didn’t disappoint!!! Epic 40th birthday weekend with these amazing people!!! I can’t thank you enough for coming to celebrate with me. The dinners were excellent, @backstreetboys concert and DJ Mark Ronson were next level but it was the vintage club dancing 🪩 @joyfacenyc that took the cake 🎂 and a fantastic show on broadway called Becky Shaw 🎭 topped off with a picnic in Central Park. The Manhattan Club was a beautiful place to rest our heads. It was a wild time to be in the city with the World Cup and the Knicks championship win!! Surreal to experience it with you all @k2thirteen13 @jessicapechet @malinakerman @jasonpechet @jgchung @lauraclabelle @deannadevries @d23donna @chadryanmoore and Meredith - thanks for coming together and helping organize such an extraordinary weekend! Love you all!! Thanks for all the birthday love ❤️ so grateful 🤩

On my way home from a two-week road trip, I stopped at a friend's house for dinner and a long "catch-up." Even after all those days on the road, I still brought a bottle of wine to share. Fresh, lively, elegant, and sparkling, it was a perfect wine for the evening, which is why the @drycreekvineyard Dry Creek Vineyard 2023 Sparkling Chenin Blanc, is the Please The Palate Wine of the Week. Happy Monday Beautiful People!

Two more shows this week and then I’m done for the year! Both are gonna be filled with nothing but good vibes and great music! The perfect pre holiday combination that will have you smiling all the way into 2026!

On Thursday I’ll be at @hughsroomlive with @quishawint and @michael.dunston singing some Christmas tunes.

And on Sunday I’ll be throwing down a coupe tunes for a great cause at the @monarchtavern with all proceeds going to @covenanthousetoronto

It’s been a great year and I hope to see some familiar faces in the crowd.

Looking forward to both of these!

Have a great week folks.
