Solo Rig World Record

390m on Y2k
Rig- 9hr 14min
Sent in 11 minutes and 11 seconds

This was a big moment for me. Recently I’ve started to consider what I want to accomplish in my life and what I really care about. Highlining is one of those things. It’s most of what I think about these days. It’s most of what I dream about these days. Some nights I don’t sleep because I’m too preoccupied with thoughts of putting a 1” piece of plastic in the sky in so many different ways.

I became interested in the idea of solo rigging this summer when I didn’t have any other highliners around to help. I rigged a handful of freestyles on my own, but knew I could take it so much farther.

After several setbacks over the last couple months, I was so determined to attempt the solo rig nothing was going to stop me. Last Friday I decided rain or shine I would rig the line. I sure didn’t get any shine. It was 38 degrees F and so foggy I couldn’t see 100ft in any direction - not the conditions you want when rigging a line, especially solo. The mountain slopes were a slip and slide making the seemingly perfect spot more on the treacherous side. I think I shivered half of that day - the other half I was hiking gear up and down the mountain. In 9hrs and 14minutes, I was able to rig the longest highline ever to be rigged by an individual. This was a wake up moment. I’ve got so much more to give and I can’t wait for what’s in store. Thank you to everyone I’ve met on this journey. taken in Boulder, Colorado by @da_logster

A lot of people have been asking, how did Freddie walk across this? How did it even get rigged? Or was it always there?
•
The answer is, @unchartedlines rigged it for Freddie! A close group of friends with a shared passion and a history of pulling off outlandish feats around the world over the past half a decade together, were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to bring this highline to life for @freddie.falcon & the @atlantafalcons
•
The reality is, yes, we take our work and our profession very seriously, but we also have to remember to have fun, crack jokes, and just enjoy being alive. Being good at what you do doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, be present, and appreciate the small things in life along the way.

Hope you all enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Love ya boys, more than ya know! 👊

Nokhu crags
12,490’

Slacklining has this way of centering and challenging you in a very unique and preposterous way. What is a hobby of focus and skill, can turn into a quest for the esoteric.
To join the spaces few have dreamt of. Nokhu crags was one of these spaces for me. A beautiful pair of summits in remote northern Colorado. Riddled by tumultuous weather and shale presenting a physical, technical, and mental struggle to obtain access to the esoteric.
@da_logster and I rigged this line over the course of two days.
I’ll never forget pulling the line across with a climbing rope (so I could rappel off my side) in complete disbelief we had pulled it off. Moments later I walked to the other side and hugged Logan, for we had captured lightning in a bottle that day. And subsequently had to flee from the lightning that did not make its way into the bottle. by @da_logster
