POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Huge thanks and appreciation are in order for @unchartedlines and @atlantafalcons for the opportunity to make history.
This was an amazing project to see come to fruition after so much work and coordination. It really affirms that dreams are just a reality you haven’t lived yet.

It was a pleasure to rig this line and get it all set and tested for @freddie.falcon

Friendships both new and old revered in a moment we will never stop reliving.

Something I haven't shared before. Last year in October I joined a team of world class highliners from around the world to help rig the new world record for the world's longest highline at 4km (2.5mi) long across the desert of Utah near Moab.

The project took 5 days culminating in @da_logster successfully crossing the line into the night under the full moon. Originally I was only supposed to come and document the project but quickly I became a member of the rigging team and my hands were on webbing just as much as on my camera.

I had the opportunity to write and help curate this story for @utahlifemag in the Aug/Sept print issue. Told through my own experience of the project and filled with unique characters and adventure.

Thanks to @da_logster for leading this project and for everyone on the team that made this project a reality, (see tags on each page). It was also my privilege to meet and spend time with the legendary Andy Lewis, who sadly passed away earlier this year, but who had helped create everything this sport is today.

Beyond grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the team and proud to finally put this story to page for readers to enjoy.

A lot of people have been asking, how did Freddie walk across this? How did it even get rigged? Or was it always there?
•
The answer is, @unchartedlines rigged it for Freddie! A close group of friends with a shared passion and a history of pulling off outlandish feats around the world over the past half a decade together, were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to bring this highline to life for @freddie.falcon & the @atlantafalcons
•
The reality is, yes, we take our work and our profession very seriously, but we also have to remember to have fun, crack jokes, and just enjoy being alive. Being good at what you do doesn’t mean you can’t have fun, be present, and appreciate the small things in life along the way.

Hope you all enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Love ya boys, more than ya know! 👊

Nokhu crags

Slacklining has this way of centering and challenging you in a very unique and preposterous way. What is a hobby of focus and skill, can turn into a quest for the esoteric.
To join the spaces few have dreamt of. Nokhu crags was one of these spaces for me. A beautiful pair of summits in remote northern Colorado. Riddled by tumultuous weather and shale presenting a physical, technical, and mental struggle to obtain access to the esoteric.
@da_logster and I rigged this line over the course of two days.
I’ll never forget pulling the line across with a climbing rope (so I could rappel off my side) in complete disbelief we had pulled it off. Moments later I walked to the other side and hugged Logan, for we had captured lightning in a bottle that day. And subsequently had to flee from the lightning that did not make its way into the bottle.
