#iykyk In many ways, 2026 has washed over me as if it were simply the wake left behind from 2025. Some bright spots but lots of challenges. #festivalsacadiensetcreoles felt like a reset or at least a respite from the chaos of the world we are living in. Good friends, beautiful music and culture. The fabric of life. taken in Festivals Acadiens et Créoles by @dababy28

Shoal Bay Beach is simply the most perfect beach. My happy place. Unbelievably soft white sand. Crystal clear turquoise waters. But perhaps what makes it so special are the locally owned small restaurants serving up yummy food and live music. Scratch music every Sunday at Gwen’s is a must. Bonus points for turning a cheesy polka drinking song I grew up listening to in Wisconsin into a delightful, fun reggae tune.
