12 years later… not a day goes by that I don’t think about you, my little brother Rashard… aka Ghost!!

Losing you showed me how dangerous jealousy, envy, and hidden intentions can be.

Gone, but never forgotten. 🕊️😇💙

Now, I move with more awareness and I’m more discerning about who I allow into my space.

ICE is reportedly being deployed to airports starting today… and may already be at SFO based on an incident that allegedly happened last night.

And before people start assuming…

Please don’t jump to conclusions about people based on how they look… or assume you know someone’s immigration status. That’s how racial profiling happens… and we’re NOT doing that.

If you or someone you know is heading to the airport:

My brother Rashard aka Ghost8800 would’ve been 37 today.

His life was taken from us. 💔

Some losses never stop hurting.

Gone, but never forgotten.

All black and brown immigrants owe Black Americans a debt of gratitude. They all have benefited from our blood, sweat and tears and the foundation we’ve laid for them to have a better life here in the United States…the civil rights movement, voting rights, fair housing, workplace protections, birthright citizenship, desegregation of public institutions, and anti-discrimination laws as well as policing laws that have been reformed.

Give respect where respect is due.

Don’t ever feel like you are superior or better than us because you are not.

Expand your thought process, learn our true history and stop coming here with an ignorant, limited mindset. by @dachocolatemami

Rest in Power Rev. Jesse Jackson!!✊🏿🕊️

A civil rights icon.
A relentless architect of justice.
Unapologetic in his Blackness. Unshaken in his conviction.

He stood tall in the face of power and forced this nation to confront its conscience. He didn’t whisper about inequality… he challenged it. Boldly. Publicly. Without permission.

His leadership was disciplined. Strategic. Impeccable.
He spoke truth to power and made power respond.

We don’t mourn quietly.
We organize. We mobilize. We continue the fight for equality and justice.
