I want to wish a very Happy Belated Bday to my beautiful friend Ashanti. Girl, i’ve known you for what 17 years? You have been a source of inspiration on every level. You have always been there to encourage me and guide me. I thank you for being a beautiful soul and always wishing the best for me. I love you girl! May days always get brighter and may blessings come your way.

5 years ago today I got a call that I never could have imagined receiving. As my father, still in shock, told me that we had lost Rashard. My heart dropped into my stomach, I froze, and was speechless. Moments later Ish walked into the house, and all I could muster up to say was "he's gone, Rashard is gone" with tears streaming down my face, as I clenched on to him so tightly that he could hardly breathe. As the oldest of the 3, I felt as though I had failed as a big brother, as an advisor, as a guardian and protector. I often times still struggle with the thought that had I been there for him more, had I warned him to stay out of the lifestyle, had I been a better role model, might he still be here. Today, I choose to celebrate the life of my baby brother, Rashard Felipé Acuna, may you forever Rest in POWER bro, I'll see you at the crossroads.
