Yesterday, Director Hines joined @mayor_bowser , District seniors, @does_dc , and @dcdgs to celebrate the grand opening of the new DC Infrastructure Academy training center at the historic Spingarn High School.

Since 2018, more than 6,500 District residents have trained at the Academy. This new facility will help even more residents pursue careers in construction, energy, and transportation. It was especially meaningful to celebrate this investment alongside the seniors who have watched our city grow and helped shape the DC we know today. by @dacl_dc

Today, DACL hosted the 9th Annual Brain Games! 🧠

Brain Games is a trivia style game, promoting brain health. During these games, teams from all 8 wards come together to compete for the number one spot.

Today, we celebrated a century of stories, strength, and service at Mayor Bowser’s 40th Annual Centenarian Salute! 🎉

More than 50 District residents age 100 and older joined us with their families and loved ones to celebrate. Including DC’s oldest resident, Ms. Evangeline Paredes, who is 110. To every centenarian we honored today: thank you for the lives you’ve lived, the communities you’ve shaped, and the wisdom you continue to share. 💙💚
