14K interval session. Seemed like a good idea….at first 🫣🔥😢#runninglife #comingbackstronger #over40fitness #running #intervalsession by @daddysteelrunning

It won’t be fast. Actually no where near my PB, but 3,5 years on from my last race, I am finally able to experience the pain again. Embrace it, Kipchoge says. We’ll - the goal is just to not die and then see where it leads. But going from PB to not being able to feel your arms, too scared to leave the house, then slowly jogging and working out to once again running intervals and Long runs for fun is a goal in itself. Re-booting was never the plan, but nothing you can do but embrace the pain. Giving up is the easy part 🏃‍♂️😎#runninglife #comingbackstronger #comeback #over40fitness #runningislife #runningismytherapy #running #hcahalvmarathon by @daddysteelrunning

Cost of living is insane 🫣 Run. They Said. It will be fun. They Said. No one told me about the cost……..but every second counts as every second is counted. Last day this time around and woke up to fresh snow and clear skies. Body has taken a beating, but who can say no to no to powder day. First man up the mountain and left the girls behind. Great day until crashing coming back to Canazei. Scary as and body braced to protect the head, but day by day life feels quite normal again and probably skied this week better than before, and all instincts were firing #comeback #comingbackstronger #over40fitness #dolomites #skiing #runninglife by @daddysteelrunning

Nothing beats skiing with the little ones; hardest skiing there is. But also the most fun. #dolomites #over40fitness #skiing #skiingwithkids by @daddysteelrunning

Everyday average joe turns into an animal when standing at the top of the dolomites ⛷️ might not be the best idea when trying to beat long term concussion symptoms, but nothing works the senses like flying down the slopes. Happy new year everyone. Enjoy the hangover. I’m right back here tomorrow morning ❄️🧘🏻‍♂️☀️ #comeback #comingbackstronger #runninglife #bodyandmind #runningislife #skiing #skiinglife #crosstraining #skiworkout #dolomites by @daddysteelrunning

Ice bath season has started 🥶🥶 slowly getting colder with 9c this morning. Great to get in every morning and just relax and breathe for 2 minutes, and not least following a week of intervals - 1K and 500m intervals at 3,55-4,20 tonslowly build speed and VO2 Max. Still some way to go hit 56 again, but slowly and steadily improving #running #comeback #runninglife #comingbackstronger #bodyandmind #runningislife #runningintervals #icebath #coldwatertherapy #runningismytherapy #concussionrehab #concussionrecovery by @daddysteelrunning

Still a long Way to go to get back to sub 20min 5K but form is getting better by the week, and easy runs are beginning to be easy 🧘🏻‍♂️

Took a long the @Goodr Pineapple Painkillers to brigthen up the trip - and they make you look faster, a lot faster 🌬️ probably the last time this year they will be needed, bit they will make a comeback next year…..if only to annoy the mrs 🤷

This last friday marked the 1 year anniversary of ending up in hospital 🚑 with a suspected stroke. Turned out it was just “burnout” due to stress and the body said: No more. The doctor politely mentioned I wasnt 25 anymore 🤷

A year on and I am slowly getting back into shape and happy to finally again being able to do Long distance running 🏃‍♂️

Spent last week running the hills around Ruabon, Wrexham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, did a 15km easy run after arriving back in 🇩🇰 and today took a gorgeous run along the seafront of Middelfart after handing back my company 🏎️ on the final day as a marketing Director of Kia & MG in DK.

What a ride it has been and thought the best way to get closure was to do a run from the office to the train station and take the train home. Of course the train was delayed, but the run was awesome; up and down and along the seafront.

Great way to start new adventures.
