First I would like to say thank you to The Chronicle newspaper for the feature in their newspaper article & thank you to the Harrison Cultural Center for allowing me to help give back to the community But I wanted to elaborate on something… The meaning of Hudson Sauce & Co. LLC: Legacy. Passion. Fearlessness. I know I have a billion-dollar brand on my hands… but this is way bigger than dollar signs. This is a dream worth more than money. 10 years ago (2016), at 17 years old, I moved away from Ohio. I had just been kicked off the Lorain High football team going into my senior year. Housing situation unstable. Running the streets. But even then, I remember thinking — “One day I’m going to have kids. I’m going to have a family. I want to be something my children can look up to. Something they can brag about.” Fast forward to 2026. I manifested the family. Lived my dream as a collegiate athlete. Earned my Bachelor’s degree 👨🏾‍🎓 Now I’m shifting that same passion… that same risk-taking spirit… into building something bigger than myself. My children may never see what I did on a football field. They may never fully understand the lives I impacted during that chapter. But what they will see is this: A man who reinvented himself. A father building legacy in real time. A man who refuses to settle. This is the rebirth. Life after sports. First-time fatherhood. Building an identity beyond the game. Ironically, my 1-year-old already loves football AND cooking 😂🙌🏾 Maybe it’s in the blood. I pray God keeps me here long enough to turn old and gray…So I can continue to pour into my children and watch them carry the torch. That’s legacy to me. It doesn’t have to be sports. Whatever you’re passionate about — Do it 100%. Be fearless. Be the best at it.
