How my day started...
I should've gone to bed earlier. 😴
Running late and heavyhearted. 😭
Queue worship playlist and fight back with praise. 🙌🏽
School drop-off. 🚌
Commence to-do list and convene message prep from my parking lot office before next appointment. IYKYK 📱
Looks at watch...I can squeeze in a mile. 👟
Steps onto the trail. 😫 Walking is good but I need to stretch. 😬
Not enough time for a second lap, so throw in the hill. 🍑🔥
Heads back to car. People are gathered. Music is playing. 🎶🧐
I read the sign and a voice utters..."looks like you want a stretch." 😃
I respond, “Look at God!" 🙌🏽

Things I never did as a child #99…climbed on my mother’s back while she prayed. 👀 Yes, my child joyfully climbed on my back and sat there as I prayed. 😆

That was a surreal day. Shock, awe, and worry overwhelmed colleagues and students as we were only a few miles away and had loved ones who worked in the city. So much changed that day, including my daily shortcut past the Pentagon. My family made it home safely. Others' loved ones did not. I join in remembering the heroes and the ones lost. Today's 9/11 WOD included a moment of silence. Although a tough workout, it paled in comparison to the losses and sacrifices we witnessed 25 years ago.
