There’s a place I discovered I could journey to when I birthed my second baby…

I revisited during my third…

Then my fourth…

Then my fifth and last 💘

It was a place I went once I felt completely safe and supported, when I surrendered all that was in that moment in time.. and allowed my body to transport me. Where was I going? I didn’t know. All I knew was that my body knew the way, my spirit.. she knew the way.

And in this place, I knew I was on the right path. I felt I was exactly where I needed to be to meet my baby’s soul in the stars and bring them to earth with me.

That exactly what I did.

The process of labour and birth was both so difficult and SO easy.

Exactly as it was meant to be 💜

Do you know the feeling? by @daiisy.est.2020

💜Do you agree?

💜In my years as a midwife, a mother and within the birth community I have found that most mothers share that it isn’t exactly WHAT happened at their births that really stuck with them, it was how they FELT.

💜I really began to dig deeper into the trauma of birth and healing that women go through when I would hear many birth stories of women so elated and happy to retell their births which sounded rather turbulent and not typically what you’d believe to be a calm birth, and then other have other women be absolutely distraught retelling their birth story which off face value sounded peaceful. It’s all subjective.

💜 what’s your experience? by @daiisy.est.2020

What was the easiest thing for you to adapt to when experiencing pregnancy?
Mine was knowing there was a human in there! Bonding started immediately and it felt so natural to talk to the baby each day ❤️

“Attending births is like growing roses. You have to marvel at the ones that just open up and bloom at the first kiss of the sun but you wouldn't dream of pulling open the petals of the tightly closed buds and forcing them to blossom to your time line.” - Gloria Lemay

Hot tip - I apply a lil sleep oil in my cleavage at night so when babe feeds they can inhale the scent too 🤣💜
