3 years without you.

there is not a day that goes by that you don’t cross my mind. you’re in a place now, where you’re at peace. i can live with that.
but it’s hard to live through things that i can’t help but wish you were here for. family pictures feel different now and you’ve missed many dance recitals and school dances. i graduated high school and finished a full year at college. the last “ happy birthday” you wished me was my sixteenth birthday, and since then you’ve missed so many celebrations. Christmas morning has the trace of you but the day still goes on without you present.
All these things make the years harder but I would rather bear the hard minutes, days and years than for you to live one more hard second on earth.
we all still miss you down here, i hope you’re proud of all of us. 💙 by @daisy.denson_
